I’d rather have less of the real thing in terms of dessert! I’m really picky with my sweets though. Those look great, especially straight from the freezer!
My mouth is frickin watering!!! Those things look like they are AMAZING and I will be making them TOMORROW!!!!
Its like PB cups and Scotcharoos had a love child!
These look completely delicious and dangerous! I’d eat the whole pan, for sure! :)
OMG this recipe has inspired me to go back to the store for the ingredients… And my husband will likely want to crawl through my computer and kiss you for sharing it!!! YUMMMM!
I’m from Ohio so I love my Buckeye treats!! and I love peanut butter! can’t wait to try these….and will soon jump on it :) as for your question….I guess it depends on what it is. when it comes to cheesecake (my favorite dessert of all time) go big or go home! but cake, cookies, ice cream and all other desserts I can definitely be satisfied with a more figure-friendly version.
P.S. I recently found your blog last week and I am addicted!
Thanks for sharing the PB cup recipe! I think I’m going to surprise my husband by making these! He will LOVE them! (And so will I!)
I’d rather have more of the real thing and then workout later. :)
Those look amazing! And when I saw that the bottom layer is pure chocolate chips… if I had rice krispies I would totally be in the kitchen right now.
I am going to the grocery store tomorrow to buy the ingredients to make those treats :) YUM!
Ugh, I MUST make these!!
Oh sweet heavens…I need in on some of that action!
And roasted pine nut is by far my FAVE hummus.
Love the subtle placement of the PB cups below the giant fork in the first picture!
Muwahaha! ;)
There are so many wonderful things in this post I don’t know where to begin. First, I love that lunch plate! And now I know the next flavor of Sabra I am going to buy. I have the Buffalo now, which I love, but I have a hard time finding ways to use it because it just doesn’t seem to go with everything.
And those PB cups are sick!!! Wow, I don’t even like Reese that much but these look heavenly.
I HEART YOU!!
*ahem*
I mean, I THANK you for this recipe! ;-)
You can purchase a giant tub of Sabra roasted pine nut hummus at Costco! It’s my family’s favorite, too!
I would rather have less of the real thing! Or have the same amount and tack on some minutes to my workout :)
I love hummus plates! It is one of my fave things to pack for lunch.
I think I need to re-do my grocery list and add some chocolate chips & Rice Krispies to it, so I can make these. I don’t have a mini-muffin pan, so I guess I’ll just have to make mine giant-sized! :) Which leads me to answering your question–I would rather have less of the real thing.
usually when i see a recipe that looks amazing like these pb cups, i think, i need to make these now. but today- i don’t have to! i made no-bake crispy pb bars this afternoon…and while they aren’t mini like yours (i made them in a 9×13 pan), they are amazing! mine uses graham cracker crumbs for the crunch though…but i love the idea of rice krispies so i’ll definitely save this recipe too!! enjoy!
YAAAAAY Ohio!! My state – thank you for the shout-out, hahaha.
Yay, you discovered Roasted Pine Nut! It was my favorite…until my grocery store was out this week and I was forced to try Supremely Spicy. Let’s just say Roasted Pine Nut may have lost it’s number one status on my Sabra hummus roster. However, I will always hold it near and dear as my original gateway
drughummus. :)And those PB cups?! Oh. Em. Gee. Can’t wait until after my wedding to indulge… 29 days!
Oooops! Messed up that last html tag! Sorry for all the strikethrough! :)
OMG my two all time favorite things meshed into a delicious recipe! Tell me they are as good as Reeses’ please!
I TOLD you that you would love the Roasted Pine Nut Hummus! It’s classic Middle Eastern! Beautiful platter too, Ms K. I wish you could visit! I’d love to take you eating with me! Camp Adventure, yeah!
These sound amazing–I love the idea of the crunch!
I actually prefer if I can find a lower calorie dessert that still tastes amazing… there arent’ too many of them out there unless you’re going with just plain fruits etc!
What an awesome workout… you go girl!! I get it felt great and hopefully you feel great today!
Those PB Cups look to die for! I would much rather have the real thing but watching my portion size is the key! Awesome recipe, thanks for posting! Happy Saturday!
These look SOOO good – can’t go wrong with pbutter and chocolate for sure!! I am going to make them today – but use semi sweet choc. What else could be used instead of Rice Krispies?
And I think I would rather eat more of a healthier version – I usually end up eating too much of the real thing anyway – I am a volume eater!
You could probably use frosted flakes or something?!
I’d rather have more of the real thing… muwahahaha!

Those look sooo gooooood!!!
Ok, so Sabra’s hummus is my new favorite. I usually make my own, but nothing compares to their’s! My current obsession is their supremely spicy hummus – it seriously tastes like queso dip! I also picked up the spinach artichoke flavor and am very excited to give it a try.
Oh my those peanut butter cups look amazing!!! YUM! And I totally hear ya on drowning this week. Sadly, it doesn’t look like the next few days are going to be much better. Enjoy today! :)
Ok I know I commented earlier today, but I had the funniest thing happen. My sister pinned these on Pinterest so I checked them out and then went to a potluck playdate with my daughter. Our host had made your pb cups! I said “Are these from Iowa Girl Eats!?!?!?” She said, “Yes!” Too funny. Just wanted to share…and they were DELISH!

I FINALLY got a chance to make your Crispy Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, and they were SO SO good! I didn’t even realize your recipe called for smooth peanut butter until after I already made it with crunchy peanut butter….whoops. My husband and I actually loved the extra crunch it gave, though, so I just thought I’d share! Thanks for the recipe!

Try using a double boiler to melt your chocolate….it won’t seize up on you. I don’t like using the microwave for that reason. This looks like a great recipe to use that won’t involve heating up the kitchen!

Wow, I found you on pinterest and I am dying for some of those peanut butter chocolate treats. I’m going to make some right now. Thanks for your inspiration. I love your blog and I can’t wait to read more of it. I’d love to re-post the pb chocolate treat recipe on my blog if you don’t mind. I have a freezer meal blog and I know a lot of my followers would love to try out your recipe too. Thank you!! Freezerdinner.com
Not at all! Looking forward to checking our your site too. :)
I’m with you. More of the real thing. No low cal stuff for me. I also work out so I can eat basically what I want. I too just found you on Pinterest, and I love your photos and your explanations. Good work!
the recipe looks awesome! We are hummus lovers too and I wanted to tell you to try Trader Joe’s hummus. Two kinds we love are the cilantro/jalapeno (a little spicy) and the Mediterranean. Both great! Nice blog you have, congrats. I stumbled upon it via Pinterest. Thanks! Betsy

Hiya! I just tried making the crispy chocolate peanut butter cups and could not get the darn things out of the mini muffin pan. I coated the pan with spray…any tips?
Hmmm, mine popped right out. Try running a knife around the outside of the cup and then popping them out!

I made your peanut butter cups…AMAZING!! Check out my post about it here… http://kacyseveryday.wordpress.com/2012/01/05/legos-treats-bears-oh-my/
These were great! I made them in a regular muffin tin (all we own)and used silicone liners and they made the adorable zig-zags in the chocolate that you get in an actual Reeses… It made them look extra fancy. Definitely serving these at an upcoming dinner party! Thanks for the recipe!
