Le Gros Horloge, or “The Great Clock”, in Rouen, France was built in the 14th century, and sits atop an ancient stone arch amongst surviving half-timbered houses from the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries. Visitor’s can climb inside the clock to see its mechanisms, and get a great view of the street below. What a scene! (source)

So envious right now! Wish I was there instead of the 108 degree Texas weather we’re having right now.
one of my best friends from college lives in france now and i had the opportunity to visit her in december 2008. at the time, she lived in caen which is pretty close to rouen so we went there… being december, it was very cold but incredibly beautiful! there was a children’s clothing shop down the street that had the most beautiful holiday decorations in the window too!
