Yowsa – Friday sure came in like a lion!
Ben and I woke up late…to more falling snow…then I realized my website had gone down sometime in the wee hours of the morning. TGIF?! I’m so sorry to everyone who has tried to access the site today and found it unavailable. Everything should be up and running smoothly (for) now!
Two of my biggest pieces of advice when/if you decide to take blogging seriously is a.) find a good host, and b.) find a great developer. Still working on the good host part (every server goes down occasionally, but you shouldn’t find yours going down constantly which I’ve been struggling with a lot lately,) and having a good developer on your side is absolutely invaluable too. I don’t know where I’d be without my friend and developer Michael Novotny. He’s the smartest dude I know and this site would be an absolute train wreck without him!
Anyways, should be a cozy weekend around here. I think Ben and I are going to dig into some spring cleaning (he’s thrilled) even though it looks nothing like spring outside. I’m getting the itch though. I mean it’s March 1st for Heaven’s sake, and daylight savings time begins in just 9 days – WHEE! :D
Wherever you are and whatever you do, I hope you have a fabulous weekend and in the meantime please enjoy my favorite finds from around the web in this weeks Friday Favorites!

Favorite remix: Thin Mint Krispie Treats. How did Shelly know I just polished off the one and only box of Thin Mints I allowed inside my house this year?! The horror! Luckily my Dad, a grade-school teacher, is a sweet sucker and buys truck loads of ’em from his students every year. These look so, so good!
Favorite guide: 101 Places Every Traveler Should Know. I’m a big fan of crossing off and highlighting the places I’ve been to and seen in my 1,001 Places to See Before You Die book, but I really like this easier to manage list.
Favorite bite: Cinnamon-Sugar Sweet Potato Fries with Brown Butter Marshmallow Glaze. Ok why have I never thought to toss my Sweet Potato Fries with cinnamon-sugar, and why oh WHY have I never drizzled them with brown butter marshmallow glaze before?!
Favorite outfit. Normally I hate tight skirts and dresses (and shirts, for that matter) but the ruching on this skirt is divine. Amazing color combo for summer!
Favorite splurge: Creamy Garlic Pasta. Entire batch, to my face.
Favorite decor: Handkerchief Art. One of my girlfriends has done this with a couple handkerchiefs, and it looks so amazing. This article suggests framing them in square record frames, which is so smart!
Favorite sweet: Coconut Orange Sweet Rolls. Coconut oil instead of butter in cinnamon rolls? Fun and tropical.
Favorite furball. Fabulous, dahling – just fabulous!
Favorite mmm: Creamy Cauliflower Garlic Rice. Totally mouthwatering photo and post from Pinch of Yum. Creamy, cheesy, yummy.
Favorite tip: 7 Things You’re Forgetting to Clean. My inner clean freak rejoiced upon finding this article. Nothing earth-shattering, but good reminders nonetheless. Will definitely keep in mind this weekend.
Favorite sip: Whiskey Lemonade with Honey. Oh, oh yes. Happening this summer for sure.
Favorite pop: Essie Off the Shoulder. Sweet and pretty, yet bold and flashy. This shade of polish would look awesome with a tan!
Favorite redo: Healthified Chicken Tortilla Casserole. I audibly “mmm’d” when I found this recipe. Use Lindsay’s homemade Cream of Chicken Soup, and you’re set.
Favorite fitness: Butts & Guts. Butts, guts, glory, baby!
Favorite smack:Â Roasted Banana Cake with Browned Butter Cream Cheese Frosting. A unique and absolutely gorgeous cake. A must-try if for no other reason than to get a swipe of that Browned Butter Cream Cheese Frosting!
Have a great weekend! :)

Sorry to hear about your server issues. My fiance builds and designs websites for a living and he uses, and highly recommends, the company Network Solutions for webhosting. They are a little more expensive then most companies but they are high quality and reliable. Hope that helps!
Also I just have to say, I’ve been reading your blog regularly for almost a year and I love it! I get so many good ideas from here and I pass them on all the time. :) so thanks for doing what you do!

I showed the hankie picture to my mom this morning and she pulled out a bag of 28 of my grandma’s hankies!!! Thanks for the idea, so awesome!

I am so glad you hit me in the head with that idea of what to do with handkerchiefs. My mother-in-law and her sister both hand some beautiful handkerchiefs from their travels back in the 30’s and I always have kept them stored away hoping someday to do something with them. This is a wonderful way to create a memory of them.
Thank you so much for the “thunk” against my noggin.

That cauliflower rice sounds so amazing, and I love that it is “healthified.” Gorgeous nail polish color, too. How very Spring!

Nina @ Too Hottie For That Body 03.01.2013
I always consider the first day of March to be the first day of spring and the kicking off point to getting your butt in shape for bathing suit season. I wouldn’t mind laying in the sun with my “off the shoulder” finger nails holding a glass of whiskey lemon with honey.
Sarah @ Making Thyme for Health 03.01.2013
Sorry to hear about your site going down. I’m sure you had a mini panic attack. Or is it just me who reacts that way to web problems? Jenna’s sweet rolls look great and I love the skirt!
