Happy Friday, everyone!
This week has been a intense one, what with giving up cookies, candy, and the like during the week, and starting a 30 Day Fitness Challenge. It may seem like I’m taking on too much at once, but I welcome the chance to challenge myself. Keeps things interesting.
We’re supposed to get a load of snow this afternoon, so I’m foreseeing a cozy weekend at home, complete with a DIY wall art project, if I’m lucky. Hope you have some fun plans in the works too.
Without further ado, I hope you enjoy my finds from around the web and beyond, in this week’s Friday Favorites!
Favorite gotta have it: Salted Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie. As in, I MUST make this this weekend!!!!
Favorite tranquil spot: Flathead Lake in northwest Montana. Apparently the water is so clear that it looks like a shallow lake, when in fact, it’s 370 feet deep. Amazing!
Favorite cleaning tip. Line fridge shelves with Saran Wrap’s Press and Seal paper, then peel off and replace when dirty. Geeeeenius.
Favorite spin: Cinnamon Roll Cookies. Love this twist on a classic!
Favorite flashback. RIGHT?!?!?!!

Favorite photo. Yep…still obsessing.
Favorite find: OXO Food Scale. I got one of these to review a couple months ago and I’m obsessed with it. The front pulls out so you can still read it even if you have a large bowl or platter on top!
Favorite sip: Gin & Pomegranate Love Potion. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, and I am obsessed with pomegranate seeds these days. They are so delicious and refreshing!

Favorite warm weather find: Steve Madden Manngo Woven Sandals. Hoping I can find these at DSW this spring for cheaper!
Favorite Funny: The Force Commercial. This little boy CRACKS me up!
Favorite sandwich: Goat Cheese & Kalamata Olive Panini. All my favorite, zesty flavors in a crispy panini. Sign me up!
Favorite find: MY DREAM HOME! I love absolutely everything about this home. Keeping it for future building reference.

Favorite easy treat: Funfetti Cake Batter Dip. 3 ingredients = relatively guilt-free (for a dip with cake batter in the name!) Can’t wait to make this!
Favorite upcycle: Thrift Store Wall Art. Take a colorful piece of art from a thrift store, and turn it into a custom art piece. Love this.
Favorite sweet treat: Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn. Ummm, yes.
Favorite idea. This couple takes a picture of their feet wherever they travel. So, so jealous Ben and I haven’t thought of this, but I see a new tradition in our future!
Favorite soup: Chicken Enchilada Soup. Loving this latest spin on many people’s favorite soup.
Favorite furball. Baby basset says have a great weekend!

Hahaha the TV carts with VCRs were the BEST! Even if it was the most boring movie ever, it was still a good day in class!
ummmm holy cow, that panini looks AMAZING!!!
omg I love when the baby’s legs showed up in the photos
Thumbs up! Same here. the addition of the baby feet and legs is the best!
That’s my cake batter dip that I made for my daughter’s birthday party. Hope you LOVE it…we sure did!
I was expecting all of your friday favorites to be deserts since you haven’t had any all week! Haha! I bookmarked the thrift store upcycle–what an awesome idea!
LOVE the dream home!!! Beautiful!!
Have you see this Volkswagon commercial? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ntDYjS0Y3w
I just repinned a few of these! Especially the Montana picture, oh my, I really must go there one day! So beautiful
And that first cookie pie is on my to-make list!
Ha, our school still has a few of those tv carts left!
The lake picture from Montana freaks me out a little bit. I am not a fan of deep water, especially being able to see everything down there!
Have a great weekend
Did you know that the little boy from the VW force commerical has a congenital heart defect and uses a pacemaker? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/07/max-page-darth-vader-commercial-volkswagen-super-bowl_n_819701.html
I love your Friday posts! Thanks for including our popcorn! Enjoy your sugar this weekend:)
No cheese in your Friday Favorites? (aside from the sandwich, anyway)…its National Cheese Lover’s Day! Can’t wait to try the cinnamon role cookies!
I totally take pictures of my feet when I travel! I am not sure if I have remembered EVERY trip, but I have quite a few…sounds funny, but I am guaranteed to like pictures of my shoes. If my face is in the picture, I tend to pick at how un-perfect I am – like bad hair, a zit…but my shoes, it makes me FEEL that place again, transport back in time and I can sit on that spot one more time. it is pretty cool!
I so agree with you! I have several feet pics too. My favorite is a pic with my two children as teenagers and we were at the beach on our way to get on a cruise. The pic is more ankles and tops of feet and the rest of our tootsies are buried in the sand as the tide slid out. Love it.
I have to tell you that I absolutely love your friday favorites posts! I want that cake batter dip like ummm yesterday, looks so good! Have a wonderful Friday
I’ve been to Flathead Lake. My sister used to live in Polson, MT and the lake as the view from her front yard. The whole area is beautiful!!!
We used up all the pomegranates from out tree this year, but next year, we’ll be making that cocktail! We usually infuse vodka with pomegranate seeds and make delicious pomtini’s.
And instead of feet pictures, my husband and I usually take shadow pictures of ourselves. The feet pictures would be much easier than waiting for the sun so we can take shadow pics!
I love your Friday posts!
That lake is amazing! I wonder if it’s freezing.
Baby Bassett is SO cute! I love the idea of taking pictures of their feet. so cool!
xoxo from Trinidad
love the feet and love love the picture of the old school TV hahahhaa I remember the days!!
I was pinning things left and right! That TV on the cart made me laugh! Haven’t thought about one of those in so long, but it’s so TRUE! Loved seeing the teacher roll one of those in during class! Also, LOVED the thrift store picture idea!.
Happy Friday!
love, love, LOVE your Friday favorites! that couple who takes the pictures of their feet…seriously, does it get any cuter? (especially with the baby!!)
I love your lists every Friday, but this is one of my favs.
Thanks!
I had that salted chocolate chip pie and the popcorn both bookmarked in google reader as well. They look awesome! And I 100% agree with your dream home photo-so perfect!
+ That lake is so cool!! I get nervous in dark water.
+ Love the ocean pic and the feet pics… what a cool idea!
+ The Saran-wrap fridge idea is genius… I’m so doing that!
ooh. this is one of my favorite friday-favorites yet!
i love that photo of their feet idea! i think i’m gonna have to start that tradition starting with our upcoming honeymoon!
and that lake is gorgeous!!!
Love the picture in Montana, I definitely would like to go to that lake! =)
That lake is amazing. We have big lakes here in Madison but I won’t dare get in them because they are so murky. Flathead Lake looks like MY kinda lake!
I LOVE your Friday blogs! I’ve been following you for a few weeks now and your posts are AWESOME! Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!
OMG – the feet photo idea is AMAZING and I love seeing the little baby feet near the end.
I love your Friday Favorites!
The cake batter dip is beyond delish. It doesn’t last long at all in our house. We like it with Nilla Wafers, graham crackers, or teddy grahams.
Similarly, try the wedding cake shake at ZombieBurger…life altering.
Ah, cake batter dip!? Yummmo
Those feet pictures are adorable, especially when the tiny feet start showing up! I love it, thanks for making my Friday even better!
Okay a few things – I just love your blog. LOVE it and telling all my Texas friends about it. I made the Quinoa Macaroni & Cheese tonight – delish and scarfed by my 3 year old. Healthy mac n cheese is perfect.
I’m moving to Omaha, NE in 5 days and look forward to reading your blog from across the way and continue to be inspired with working out AND cooking.
And…husband and I laughed to death at TV on the cart – totally agree!
I absolutely love your Friday Favorites posts. I literally pinned almost everything in this post. Thanks for sharing and making my Friday brighter
That commercial is my favorite, that feet picture with the baby in it is adorable, and that puppy is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
shutup. the feet photos, i love it! almost died when i saw the lil baby feet!! i want to do something similar… maybe not feet but SOMETHING the same everywhere we travel..hmm..
This is seriously one of my fave Fave Friday posts! I clicked on almost all of the links… I need to make a trip to the store for so many things: some Press ‘n Seal, ingredients to make the Goat Cheese & Kalamata Olive panini’s and the Funfetti dip; I’d love to book a trip to Montana and lay out on that breathtakingly beautiful lake; and I totes wanna start taking traveling feet pics!
I made the deep dish salted chocolate chip cookie pie last night!!!! This recipe is so easy and yummy. It has to be made in the iron skillet!
I just want to say that I LOVE your Friday Favorites posts. I just can’t get into Pinterest on my own (sacrilege as a woman, I know), and I usually hate bloggers’ internet recap posts, but I absolutely adore these! Maybe it’s your great taste, maybe it’s that you explain each idea just briefly enough, I dunno. But theses posts are dynamite and I look forward to them every week. Keep rockin!
I can’t wait to run out and buy Press and Seal just for the kitchen clean up. I’m so lazy about the fridge. HA!
The peanut butter popcorn looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G as did that gorgeous bedroom with the fireplace.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Kristin–have you ever checked out freecabinporn.com? The name is hilarious but the pictures of cabins in remote places (and sometimes not so remote) are breathtaking. I think you would really like it!
I just spent an hour cleaning my fridge and that saran wrap idea is AWESOME!
Are you doing the live healthy Iowa challenge? My work is doing it, I’m way excited!
I live very near to Flathead Lake…it’s so beautiful!
My family has a cabin on Flathead Lake – it is gorgeous! But though you can see clearly in the depths where it is 20-25 (maybe more) feet deep, once you get further out, the water is as black as night. And COLD. There are even stories that Flathead has it’s own Loch Ness Monster!! It is rather fun to watch the fish swim around from the end of the dock though! Great place to visit!!
