Happy Friday everyone!

I’ve been up and at ‘em since the wee hours of the morning to cook with the crew over at KCCI! (Those are my whee! hands.) Click here to see the video >

Steve Karlin helped me whip up a colorful, healthy dish that Ben and I are both currently obsessing over – Summer Veggie Pasta Skillet.

SummerVeggieSkillet1

Fresh, summer veggies including broccoli, summer squash, sweet corn, and cherry tomatoes are sauteed with green onions, garlic, and red chili pepper flakes, then tossed with pasta, and a wee bit of cream and parmesan cheese, which make the dish taste totally decadent and special.

It is sinfully delicious, but healthy at the same time. Win win! :D Click here for the recipe >

In other news, my little brother is in town visiting for the weekend, so I’m pumped to spend some QT with him over the next couple of days. From Denver to Des Moines – I’ve seen him more this month than I have in a really long time. It’s good to have him home. :)

In the meantime, I hope you’ve got something fun cookin’ up this weekend, and in the meantime, please enjoy my favorite finds from around the web and beyond in this week’s Friday Favorites!

  23. [...] few of the blogs I follow, like Iowa Girl Eats do a fun thing on Friday, called Friday favorites.  I have decided today I need a  Monday [...]

  24. Jackie 07.30.2012

That pasta looks delicious (and easy) , and I love all of the different vegetables you used! I also am so happy you shared the coconut oil treatment. I definitely want to try that soon!

  25. Coconut oil moisture treatment= AMAZING!!!!!

  26. companies, understanding its accounting laws is necessary.

As many times as that old mechanical clock passed through owners, each seller was
supposed to pay taxes on it. Many taxpayers choose to contact TAS because they are dealing with a
    tax debt.

  27. Fruits are great and I would never discourage my patients from eating fruit, but if
your objective is to lose weight then they have to be eliminated, as
they prevent Ketosis. When it came time to select the homeopathic h – CG product I would use for round two I was
intrigued with the option of Homeopathic h – CG Pellets.
Program focus is on all round change in life-style as opposed
to a short term eating plan modification.
