Happy Friday everyone!
Wow, this week completely flew by with the help of meetings, meeting deadlines, and just trying to catch up from being gone last week. I don’t have any plans for the weekend (whee!) save for choosing the right time to ask Ben to clean out the garage. There is definitely an art to asking him to complete a wretched task such as this, and timing is everything.
I think I’ll casually throw the idea out tonight after a few brewskies, and suggest he do it after golfing but before all his college football games start on Saturday. Yeah. That should work. Fingers crossed! ;)
Hope you’ve got something fun or relaxing on the docket and in the meantime, please enjoy my favorite finds from around the web and beyond in this week’s Friday Favorites!
Favorite sip: 8 Pumpkin Beers. I am a sucker for all things pumpkin – including my beer! Love me a good, seasonal sip.
Favorite funny. This picture is a spot-on representation of Ben’s and my relationship, if we were dogs. SPOT. ON. I nearly died laughing when I found it. What makes it even funnier is that my favorite dog (right now anyways) is a Frenchie, while his is, and always will be, a bulldog! Good story.
Favorite spoonful: Corn and Chicken Chowder. I can practically taste this thick, warm, and hearty soup through my computer screen. Can’t wait to make it.
Favorite bite: Chocolate Peppermint. Homemade Junior Mints, you guys!
Favorite idea: Under Counter Fruit Bin. I need one of these so incredibly bad. Right now I line up my non-refrigerated produce items on one of the back walls in my kitchen, which is not only annoying, but super sloppy looking. :(
Favorite bling: Gold Chain Link Cuff. AMAZING.
Favorite snack: Cinnamon and Sugar Roasted Almonds. I had lunch with a friend at the Farmers’ Market this week and nearly passed out from the intoxicating scent coming from the cinnamon sugar roasted almond tent as we passed by. This recipe looks really easy, too!
Favorite song: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – Taylor Swift. So catchy – I can’t get it out of my head!
Favorite slurp: Soba Noodles with Sweet Ginger Scallion Sauce. Ugghhhhh yes!! I am such a sucker for noodle dishes like this!
Favorite DIY: Mirror Frame Tutorial. This is one of the best tutorials I’ve read for jazzing up builder-grade mirrors. I like how the blogger shows how to fix little mistakes (which I would no doubt have…) to make the final product look clean and professional.
Favorite side: Oven Roasted Potatoes. Look at those crunchy bottomed potatoes. And bacon?! Stop it.
Favorite sip: Pumpkin Apple Cider Fizz. Vanilla, pumpkin, and apple cider all in one sip. This will be perfect for the fall.
Favorite outfit. It’s about time to bust out the boots, ladies!
Favorite bite: Homemade Breadsticks. Soft, chewy, and cheesy. These look really similar to the OP’s breadsticks! Anyone?
Favorite photo. Wherever this is, I want to go to there.
Favorite game-day dip: Artichoke and Green Chili Dip. An updated version of the same old artichoke dip. Awesome flavor combo in this recipe!
Favorite future home: Wood Grain Stamped Concrete. Concrete stamped then sealed to mimic the look of wood (this is un-sealed still.) I am totally doing this in my dream house!
Favorite fall: Starbucks’ Pumpkin Treats. They’re baaaa-aaack! What’s your favorite? Mine’s the pumpkin scone. Melt in your mouth delish.
Have a great weekend everyone!

My aunt sloooowly cooks almonds at a low temperature with maple syrup in an iron cast. It is to die for.
I really like your blog! It’s delicious and beautiful and full of wonderful ideas – 2 thumbs way up!! :)
I love how unimpressed that dog looks.
OP breadsticks are the perfect companion to a PANTHER WIN!!
Loving that outfit, I “need” (errr really really want) those brown boots! So cute, and they look great with anything!
Pumpkin stuff…the scones, I definitely agree!
Pumpkin scones are my favorite too!! I love your Friday favorites this week especially the homemade junior mints recipe :) Happy weekend!
We totally should have stopped and grabbed some almonds, Kristin! I agreeโthe smell is about on par with the Cinnabon scent that wafts into the mall/airport from 50 feet away. :) In other news, I NEED that outfit. Fall perfection.
Have a great weekend!
That song is so catchy. I hadn’t seen the video..thanks for posting. Can’t wait to have a pumpkin treat at Starbys.
Pumpkin beers are ah-may-zing! If you’re a fan of bananas you MUST try Banana Bread Beer – omg! I can usually find it at World Market. Love. The. Stuff!
I LOVE that beer!! It’s been a long time though – need to get my hands on some more. :)
I love Taylor Swift- she is such a doll :)
would love the fruit bin, no room in my apt kitchen but someday! The nuts, well, I can do those :)
I’m a new reader and just loving your blog!
Love this list–so many great ideas! I sent the pumpkin and apple cider fizz recipe to a friend as an idea for a signature cocktail for their very fall wedding. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to reading more!
While the soup looks yummy, I will be waiting a few weeks to try it. It is currently 107F outside. Too hot to cook anything! September in southern California is NOT my favorite place!
