Happy Friday! My little brother is in town visiting for the weekend, so I’m pumped to spend some QT with him over the next couple of days. From Denver to Des Moines – I’ve seen him more this month than I have in a really long time. It’s good to have him home. :)
In the meantime, I hope you’ve got something fun cookin’ up this weekend, and in the meantime, please enjoy my favorite finds from around the web and beyond in this week’s Friday Favorites!
Favorite sweet: Sunburst Lemon Bars. These lemony bars with a thin glaze look like they’d absolutely melt in your mouth. YUM!
Favorite accent: Brick Hallway. I love the look of this brick wall leading into the basement. It feels very old-world and mysterious. :)
Favorite comfort: Pesto Lasagna. I’d like to sink my teeth into a big fat slice of this cheesy, pesto-flavored lasagna. Such a great idea!
Favorite DIY: Campaign Chest. Loved not only learning how to make this gorgeous chest at home, but also the history behind Campain furniture in this post.
Favorite refresh: White Peach Cooler. Peaches + vodka + mint + lime = YES!
Favorite tip: Coconut Oil Moisture Treatment. You should see the silky hair this blogger achieves from this easy, DIY treatment using coconut oil. So trying it sometime.
Favorite idea: Herringbone Wood Pattern Wood-Effect Ceramic Tiles. Ok, I admit, I featured wood grain tiles in last week’s Friday Favorites, but I am totally geeking out over placing them in a herringbone pattern. So freaking cool!
Favorite woah: Vodka Infused Tomatoes with Dipping Salts. I have NEVER seen anything like this. Kind of like self contained mini Bloody Marys!
Favorite dress: Herve Leger Geometric Jacquard Dress. Normally I hate bandage wrap dresses as I loathe wearing anything tight, but this is super cute and spunky.
Favorite bite: Summer Corn Cakes with Chopped Tomato and Avocado Salsa. Ohhhohoho YEAH!
Favorite kitchen. Soaring ceilings with exposed beams have recently become a must-have feature in my future dream home. Just like, mmm, THIS!
Favorite indulge: Peanut Butter Chocolate Eclair Cake. Creamy, dreamy chocolate and peanut butter – ‘nuf said!
Favorite ‘do: Fishtail Updo. This is the most adorable little updo. Perfect for weddings or special occasions where you need something a little more fancy, but don’t want to have prom hair.
Favorite slurp: Smoky Corn Chowder with Shrimp. Ohhh baby. Fresh sweet corn, bacon, and shrimp. I’ll be making this the second the heat index dips below 100!
Favorite fashion: Kate Spade Scatter Necklace. I’ve been looking for a colorful necklace that isn’t cheap looking. This definitely fits the bill. Now to find $100 to spend on a necklace…!
Favorite view. Ahhh, there is nothing like sitting on the front porch watching the steamy rain in the summertime.
Favorite snack: Sugar Crumb Crispy. I can call pastry smothered in cinnamon sugar a snack, right? :)
Favorite space. Whenever I hang twinkly lights they look tacky and like I just forgot to take them down after Christmas. Here they look festive & energetic. Hmmm…
Favorite find: USA Book Shelf. How cool would this look in a kid’s room or playroom?
Favorite redo: Homemade Diva (Ding) Dongs. I can’t decide what’s more awesome – the creamy center of these individual-sized chocolatey cakes…or the name. Bahaha! :D
