I just found your blog and I’ve loved reading through your top posts! I just got chia seeds in the mail yesterday and your post about chia was so handy! I knew they were good for me, but didn’t really know why. Thanks for the great information!
Super excited to find all your NOLA posts together and see where we should go this weekend!
Thanks for the info. Great writing skills by the way. It is really helpful to have fresh advice on the workout subject
Kristin, I’m tyring to find your post where you show the picture and talk about the store you found in NOLA where you got that chalkboard-like wall hanging. Can you help me out? Thanks!
Hey Kristin! I love reading your blog… I am also trying to find the post about the store in NOLA where you got that chalkboard-like wall hanging, listing all the spices. The search feture has failed me… can you point me to the right place.
Thanks!
I just discovered you blog. I have been voting for your menu on
http://breakstonestriplechurned.com/challenge.php
I loved the menu especially your Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Pies with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting. I can not wait to make and try them. I love everything Pumpkin. Yummy. I also love Whoopie Pies, as they bring back many lovely memories of Mom in the kitchen baking a batch of Whoopie Pies in MA. Life is great
I have been voting for you everyday since the contest started. I knew nothing about you. Today I decided to check your blog out and see who you are and whom I have been voting for just on your menu.
WOW.
I have enjoyed reading your posts about exercise, travel and food, which are all my passions.
You are adorable and I love your energy and reviews of you travels, which are many places I have been. I have felt like I have been there again.
Thank you for a great BLOG
I will keep voting. Good luck
Barbara
I’ve been following you now for one or two weeks & am having such a great time. The food stories are fun to read & the recipe ideas divine. I’m an avid cook & adore food, so this is right up my alley. Thank you!
I am so glad I found your website. It makes me happy to find a blog that is realistic about eating healthy but also treating yourself to a treat too. I am from Iowa and love food, but love working out also. So, it’s great to find both on one website. I love that you have baked ideas for breakfast. I am so boring when it comes to breakfast. Cereal … lol sad. So I am excited to try your breakfast recipes to spice it up a bit. I will be looking forward to having more breakfast ideas. They do say.. that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Hello there, Kristin! I found your site while looking for an alternative to mayo on chicken salad. My husband and I just finished having your mayo-free chicken salad…Yum!! I added some chopped up spinach, and we ate it with an Ezekiel sprouted grain muffin. I’m a retired school teacher who is pursuing certification as a Nutrition Consultant. I love finding new recipes….and ofcourse, eating them!! I am a Midwest “girl” as well, living in northern Indiana.
I’m so glad I found you!
Blessings in the new year,
LORI
Oops, I think my comment got lost. Your blog is delightful! Love, love good food exciting travel discoveries, and love your joie de vie. Please come visit my neck of the woods in North west Michigan, it is the mid west’s gold coast. Charlevoix, Traverse City, Petoskey, Harbor Springs and world famous, Mackinaw Island represent fabulous beaches, world class restaurants, entertainment, home town American charm and miles of cherry orchards, vineyards and mile high sand dunes. A GREAT place to visit. (did I mention hiking trails and 80 or so gold courses?)
Hi Kristin, My name is Kristin too. I love your site. I was curious what your thoughts are on tofu. I’ve been a vegetarian for 17 years and never ate a lot of tofu..never made at home before. Reason why I ask is I know there is controversy over the soy and type of soy and it can cause health problems. Do you know much about this? I want to try your tofu sloppy joes, but I’m hesitant about tofu.
Hi Kristin! I actually adore tofu, but have cut back on using it because of the reasons you mentioned. I personally feel like it’s fine to eat on occasion, but no, I do not use it weekly like I used to anymore.
Hello – Two questions:
For the dressing on your orzo salad what could I do to replace the honey? I can’t eat honey or I get hives.
Also another recipe that looked really good was the grilled avocado, any other suggestions other than putting salsa on it?
