Happy Friday everyone! This week, the last week in September (reeeally?!) went quickly and was full of windy weather, reunions and birthday celebrations. Overall, a pretty good week indeed. :) Here are my favorite finds from around the web this week! (Could I say week one more time. Oh wait I just did.)

Favorite Dining Concept: Outstanding in the Field. You guys. This is the coolest thing EVER!!!!

DiningConcept1

From their site:

Our mission is to re-connect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the local farmers and food artisans who cultivate it.

Outstanding in the Field is a roving culinary adventure – literally a restaurant without walls. Since 1999 we have set the long table at farms or gardens, on mountain tops or in sea caves, on islands or at ranches. Occasionally the table is set indoors: a beautiful refurbished barn, a cool greenhouse or a stately museum. Wherever the location, the consistent theme of each dinner is to honor the people whose good work brings nourishment to the table.

Ingredients for the meal are almost all local (sometimes sourced within inches of your seat at the table!) and generally prepared by a celebrated chef of the region. After a tour of the site, we all settle in: farmers, producers, culinary artisans, and diners sharing the long table.

Your lists are the best! I am totally doing that canvas/masking tape thing! I was just saying how desperately I want to be crafty–except I’m not. But I think I could actually pull that one off!

  2. Alyse says:

I love dainty rings like that. They remind me of my Grandma’s wedding band that she got in the forties. Over the years it wore down and was as thin as the dainty ring. :-)

Thanks so much for your Friday favorites…..they make my day. I pin almost every recipe and can’t wait until I have time to make them!!!! And that couch?!?! TO. DIE. FOR! I would probably lose my job because I wouldn’t want to get off of it.

  8. Alisha @ Wee Foodie Fashionista says:

First – I SO want to do the index card journal! That’s awesome. But I feel like I would most often write, ‘went to work. sent emails.’

Second – The parmesan fries look ahhhmazing.

Third – My sister’s dog looked exactly like that puppy when he was a baby. I used to drive to her house every day for six months just so I could cuddle with him and give him kisses. YAY!

  9. Nancy says:

I’ll have to try that chicken in a bundt pan w veggies. How perfect an idea is that!

I am so stealing that canvas idea – I’ve wanted to make some fun, unique art for my apartment but I’m pretty design-challenged…that looks foolproof!
