Happy Friday everyone! This week, the last week in September (reeeally?!) went quickly and was full of windy weather, reunions and birthday celebrations. Overall, a pretty good week indeed. :) Here are my favorite finds from around the web this week! (Could I say week one more time. Oh wait I just did.)
Favorite memory maker: Index card journal. I am toootally starting one of these on Jan 1, and for my children when we have them!!
Favorite splurge: Bikini Killers. I can’t get over this name…or this idea!!!
Favorite clever idea: Google Maps Envelopes. The only caveat is your addressee has to live to the east of you…
Favorite seasonal decor idea. Keep the frames and just change out the letters depending on what season it is. Super cute mantle decoration?
Favorite Dining Concept: Outstanding in the Field. You guys. This is the coolest thing EVER!!!!
From their site:
Our mission is to re-connect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the local farmers and food artisans who cultivate it.
Outstanding in the Field is a roving culinary adventure – literally a restaurant without walls. Since 1999 we have set the long table at farms or gardens, on mountain tops or in sea caves, on islands or at ranches. Occasionally the table is set indoors: a beautiful refurbished barn, a cool greenhouse or a stately museum. Wherever the location, the consistent theme of each dinner is to honor the people whose good work brings nourishment to the table.
Ingredients for the meal are almost all local (sometimes sourced within inches of your seat at the table!) and generally prepared by a celebrated chef of the region. After a tour of the site, we all settle in: farmers, producers, culinary artisans, and diners sharing the long table.
Favorite acceptable frozen meal: Kashi Mayan Harvest Bake. I had this cough twice cough for lunch this week. It is unbelievably delish.
Favorite giggle. OMG.
Favorite kitchen item. I squealed when I saw this. It’d go perfect with my pink Kitchen Aid stand mixer!
Favorite sweet treat: Apple Toffee Blondies. I link to this blog almost every Friday. This is why ↓
Favorite inexpensive DIY decor. Dollar store wicker balls + a string of Christmas lights. No glue or anything else necessary!
Favorite dainty ring. Beautiful.
Favorite easy DIY artwork. Canvas + masking tape + spray paint = EASY!
Favorite bite: Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries. Try and tell me your mouth doesn’t water at the sight of this picture!!
Favorite Couple: Jim & Pam. 8 years later and still making my heart go pitter patter. :)
Favorite Outfit Accent. The colors in here are mesmerizing and I loooove, love, love lockets. So sweet. :)
Favorite lazy lounging place. I will build my future dream home around this couch!
Favorite secret spot: Phuktal Monastary – Yugar, Zanskar. Blows my mind that places like this exist around the world.
Favorite idea. Why didn’t I think of that?! ;)
Favorite cozy glow: Tissue Paper covered hurricanes. Don’t you love the soft, warm light?
Favorite witty pup. May I trouble you for a cup of tea and a scone, hmmm?
Have a great weekend everyone! Supposed to be a beautiful one around here! :)

Fun favorites! I made the mistake of clicking on the puppy link and can’t stop looking at all of the adorable animals :P P.S. Those bikini busters look divine- I’m not sure that they’d even make it into the oven before being eaten!

Your lists are the best! I am totally doing that canvas/masking tape thing! I was just saying how desperately I want to be crafty–except I’m not. But I think I could actually pull that one off!

I love dainty rings like that. They remind me of my Grandma’s wedding band that she got in the forties. Over the years it wore down and was as thin as the dainty ring. :-)

Thanks so much for your Friday favorites…..they make my day. I pin almost every recipe and can’t wait until I have time to make them!!!! And that couch?!?! TO. DIE. FOR! I would probably lose my job because I wouldn’t want to get off of it.
Alisha @ Wee Foodie Fashionista 09.30.2011
First – I SO want to do the index card journal! That’s awesome. But I feel like I would most often write, ‘went to work. sent emails.’
Second – The parmesan fries look ahhhmazing.
Third – My sister’s dog looked exactly like that puppy when he was a baby. I used to drive to her house every day for six months just so I could cuddle with him and give him kisses. YAY!
Nancy 09.30.2011
I’ll have to try that chicken in a bundt pan w veggies. How perfect an idea is that!
Beth 09.30.2011
I went to an “Outstanding in the Field” dinner last year and it was amazing! Definitely worth the price!
Love that puppy!
Faith @ For the Health of It 09.30.2011
I am so stealing that canvas idea – I’ve wanted to make some fun, unique art for my apartment but I’m pretty design-challenged…that looks foolproof!
Krissy @ Shiawase Life 09.30.2011
Fun picks! I am in love with that crockpot too!
Rachel 09.30.2011
I LOVE these posts! That memory maker is awesome, thanks for the great tip. Have a fabulous weekend!
I also saw the bundt pan for the chicken, and I can not wait to try it out.
