Hey, hey everybody.

Kind of a surreal, unbelievable day, what with everything that’s unfolded in Boston overnight. An entire city on lock down? How is this happening? I didn’t find out about the suspects until I got to the news studio very early this morning where, obviously, last night’s events took precedence over my segment on make-ahead breakfast ideas. We taped the segment so it will play on Monday morning, if you care to tune in.

After hanging out and listening to the story unfold, I headed home, making a quick pit-stop at Dunkin’ Donuts to pick up a Friday treat for Ben and myself. We finally got a DD last year but this was actually my first time visiting the location. I know. WHAT is my problem? A few chocolate munchkins and a decaf French Vanilla coffee is a good reminder to get back a little more often. ;)

Favorite sweet: No-Bake Peanut Butter S’mores Bars. Clearly, very few words are needed to express my deep gratitude for this recipe, but I do just love the fact that these bars are no-bake (in addition to everything else!)

Favorite DIY: Mosaic Tile Bathroom Mirror. I think this is such a neat look, plus I’m always seeing really nice tiles on sale at the hardware store. Which begs the question – why am I always at the hardware store?

Favorite photo. My parents got Ben and me some tulips to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary a few weeks ago and they just seriously brightened my entire week. I always forget about tulips, but they really are so beautiful. Great gifting flowers!

Your thoughts and prayers to Boston are incredibly well received, from someone who lives in the city. thank you, my dear.

I am jealous. You must not have indigestion because I am 31 weeks pregnant and just looking at a donut gives me indigestion. Horribly jealous on this end. That being said, what is happening in Watertown is horribly scary. I live to the north of Boston, about 20 minutes away, and I am just amazed by everything that is happening here.

Dunkin Donuts is extremely appropriate today as it is a Boston-based company. ((hugs)) Boston!

It is mind blowing what has been happening in Boston this week. I just hope they can catch them before anybody else gets hurt.
They don’t have DD here in California, but I used to love getting a Dunkaccino and plain cake donut when I loved in Florida. So good. I love the furball pic too, so cute!!
