Happy Friday everyone!

I’ve been having day-later syndrome all week and sort of thought this day would never come. Hate when that happens! ;) Ben and I are heading into a quiet weekend, which is a-ok with me as the next month or so is going to be crazy. My in-laws will be here next weekend for another baby shower, we move the weekend after that, the following weeks will be filled with unpacking, then…dunh, dunh, dunhhhh…BABY!

I am still sorting out what my posting schedule will look like after the little man get here, but I’m assuming I’ll take a couple weeks off then move into a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule, with an occasional weekend post. That could all change, of course, but it’s what I’m thinking will happen at the moment. We shall see!

Well enough of my babbling – wherever you are, and whatever you do, have a wonderful weekend and please enjoy my favorite finds from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites!

Favorite woah: Chocolate Strawberry Nutella Cake. I saw this cake on the Pioneer Woman’s show a few weeks ago and not only did it look stunning, I can’t even imagine how insane it must taste. Strawberries + chocolate cake + whipped cream + nutella? Yes please!

Favorite find: The Kitchen Safe. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered Ben to take this away from me (most recently Snickers bites – OMG have you had those yet?!) From candy to video game remote controls, put whatever it is you need to practice self control around in the safe, then set a timer and wait until it goes off before you can retrieve the item again. So brilliant. I want 100.

Favorite slurp: Olive-Oil Poached Cherry Tomato Sauce. Gosh, speaking of tomato season, I can’t wait to put a big batch of Sweet 100s to good use in this fresh and summery recipe.

Favorite DIY: How to Make a Chalkboard Serving Tray. My sister-in-law sent me this DIY/design blog earlier this week and I have pinned at least 10 projects I want to make for the new house, including this easy DIY chalkboard serving tray. So cute!

Favorite devour: Roasted Blueberry Coconut Quinoa Parfaits with Coconut Granola. Just…yes. Roasted blueberries? Yes!

Favorite project: “Copper” Curtain Rods. Our new home has pull down shades on one level of the outdoor living space but I like the idea of sheer outdoor curtains for when we want lighter sun coverage. These “copper” rods look AMAZING. You’ll never guess what they’re actually made of!

Favorite lunch: Smoked Salmon Cucumber Wraps. The perfect light lunch. I could even see them cut into pinwheels for a yummy party app.

Favorite fitness: Super Sweaty Tabata Supersets. I’ve been struggling with even walking these past two weeks due to sciatic nerve pain and pain caused from over-straining my knee doing literally the simplest yoga move ever like, 2 months ago. That being said, seeing workouts like this one gets me so excited to get back into the swing of things after the baby is born and I wait the required amount of time before exercising again, naturally. I guess I’m just looking forward to sweating (from something other than being 8 months pregnant, that is.) :)

Favorite frozen: Chocolate-Covered Peanut Butter Popsicles. How perfect do these look? Gorgeous photography.

Favorite space. I really need to get my guest room act together in the new house. Right now it’s a completely random mish-mash of items. Thinking this setup and color scheme (pops of blues, pinks, and oranges set on white) is really lavish yet cozy-feeling. The leopard bench is too-fab, too.

Favorite bite: Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta Salad. A Mediterranean-flavored pasta salad that is making my mouth water. This would be great to take along to a cook out.

Favorite furball. When I first saw this picture I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry (out of terror.) I decided to laugh…uncontrollably. HILARIOUS. I want this sweet pooch.

Hubby and I are seriously cracking up about the kitchen safe. A necessity!!
While I’ll so miss your regular posts once baby arrives, I’m so excited for you and Ben to be parents and hope that you take as much time as you need to soak up every little ounce of time with your growing family. It won’t be easy, but we’ll survive without you…at least temporarily! :)

Definitely take some much needed time off after baby, but please please please don’t stop blogging! I adore your blog :)

Yay for Friday Favorites!! I look forward to these every week. Yes, PLEASE take a couple of weeks off from blogging after your sweet baby boy arrives!! Let your body heal, and get as much rest as you can. I’m due at the end of July with baby #5, so trust me on this. :-) Also, you might want to try going to a chiropractor for your sciatic. I had tremendous sciatic pain with my first three- there were days when I was literally crawling around the house it was so awful. I started going to a chiropractor shortly before I got pregnant with my fourth baby, and it seriously made all the difference in the world. I’m also very petite, like you (barely 5’0!), so that baby belly can take a serious toll on your poor back. :-( Just a thought! So happy for you- you are one lovely pregnant gal! :-)

The kitchen safe looks so cute. I could think of a few different people I could give that to.

If I had a kitchen safe my husband would empty it out on the first try!

Are you sure you’ll take a break? You may need something to occupy your time during those late night feedings. I’ll bet that would make for some pretty interesting and entertaining blog entries! ;-)
