Snickers Chex Mix is sweet, crispy, chewy, salty, and irresistible! Enjoy as a fun and delicious dessert, or decadent snack.

I’ve got an outrageous, sweet and salty twist on Chex Mix that you’re going to go crazy for – Snickers Chex Mix!

Made completely in the microwave, this sweet, sticky, chewy, crunchy, chocolate, peanutty Chex Mix is Chocolate Chex drizzled with more melted chocolate and drippy caramel then sprinkled with salted peanuts and Snickers Bites.
Yes – Snickers. Bites.
Have a game plan ready for when you make this outrageous, addicting dessert – you won’t want to be alone with a whole batch!

Start by pouring 8 cups Chocolate Chex, the base of our Snickers Chex Mix, in a large, microwave-safe baking dish. I use a big casserole dish.

Next, make the homemade caramel sauce that will help the chex mix stick together in big, yummy hunks.
Add 3/4 cup brown sugar, 6 Tablespoons butter, and 3 Tablespoons light corn syrup to a microwave-safe dish then microwave for 2 minutes, stirring halfway through. Finally, stir in 1/4 teaspoon baking soda.

Drizzle the mixture over the cereal then stir to coat the best you can. It’s ok if not every single chex is covered.
Next, microwave the cereal for 3 minutes, stirring every minute, then spread out onto a wax paper-lined baking sheet to cool for 15 minutes before breaking into bite-sized pieces.

SNICKERS TOPPING TIME! Ahem.

First microwave 3/4 cup chocolate chips until smooth then drizzle over the chex with a spoon.
Next microwave 1/2 cup caramel bits with 1 Tablespoon heavy cream (or half and half) until smooth then drizzle that on top of the chocolate.

While the chocolate and caramel are still warm, sprinkle on 3/4 cup salted peanuts, then bring out the big guns – Snickers Bites!
Have you had these? They are AMAZING! Some of the “bites” I can’t really get on board with – the ratios are all off – but these babies are just right.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup Snickers Bites on top of the mixture then pop the whole pan in the refrigerator to let the caramel and chocolate set up.

Once the chex mix is completely cool, break it into big hunks then enjoy!

Like I said – highly addicting. Make for the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, or any day that ends in an -ay. Do you really need an excuse?! Enjoy!

What do you mean by caramel bits? Is that like the Kraft caramels that are individually wrapped? HURRY PLEASE!!! I’d like to make these Saturday to send to work with my husband on Monday!
Yep they are! The bits are sold in the candy aisle under the kraft label. I hope this helps!
french vanilla coconut milk coffee creamer? sounds delish! where does one find that!?
It’s the SoDelicious brand. Usually it’s in the “health food” refrigerator section!
So I was at Hyvee, and was going to make the steak and crispy shallot salad, so I pulled up your blog, saw this on the front page, and am now making the salad AND this.
It looks amazing!
Ok, this looks AMAZING….and like I would gain 5 pounds just by looking at it. (I’m pretty sure I would end up polishing off the whole batch!)
omg. that looks so sinfully delicious!!!
Hi Kristen!!
This looks amazing!
Quick question, anything I can sub the corn syrup for? I don’t like purchasing anything with it or cooking with it so I was just wondering what I Can replace it with!
Thanks,
You could use golden syrup (Tate and Lyle) – its made from sugar beet or sugar cane and not corn.
ok, dumb question — but did you add the baking soda after the full 2 minutes of microwaving the caramel sauce, or did you add it at the half-way mark when you stirred?
This looks amazing! I have had something similar with Fritos, the ultiamte salty and sweet combo, but the mini Snickers are just too adorable!
Major craving happening over here right now! YUM!
This was pure evil of you to post!! Amazingly wonderful but evil:-)
I see snack in my future this weekend! Perfect for Superbowl! YUM
Um, yes please!! This looks amazing! Might be too dangerous for me to make, because I’d probably finish the whole bowl myself…
This would be SO dangerous for me! I would end up eating all of the Snickers bits right out of there ;)
