Hallelujah – it’s soup season!
As you know, I’m a big fan of recipes that include everything I’d normally feed my family at meal time – a protein, vegetable, and starch (I’m so Midwest it hurts) – in ONE dish. They require less dishes to clean and more importantly less brain-power to think of three or more separate components to put on a plate. Am I making sense here?
All that to say, soups, stews, and chili totally fit the bill and they’re my favorite kind of food to prepare, eat, and share. In fact, I have over 70 recipes for them here on IGE – more then any other type! Brothy, hearty, cheesy, meaty, or vegan – they all have one thing in common: PURE COMFORT. There is no dish that feeds my body, mind, and soul more then a hot and hearty scoop of soup.
Today I’m sharing over 25 of my very, very favorite gluten free soup, stew and chili recipes. I invite you to bookmark or pin this post for easy, cozy meal inspo all season long. Truly, sitting down with a bowl of soup at the end of the day when it’s, you know, PITCH BLACK outside at 5pm, makes the season without much sun a little more tolerable. Light a fire, pour a glass of wine, and you’re set. Ooo, don’t forget the dinner rolls!
Do you see any of your favorites here? Extra special shout outs to my family’s faves: Spicy Shrimp Soup, Ben’s Beef Stew, and Homestyle Chicken and Noodles!
