The name of the game this weekend was OAMAP (outside as much as possible!) Here’s what we’ve been up to over these gorgeous past couple of days, as seen through the lens of my iPhone. (A concept borrowed from my bestie Laura!)
Saturday morning Ben and I ran errands then decided the best use of our time would be to find the nearest patio, sit on it, and order lunch.
PF Changs won out because frankly Ben and I are both always craving it but are unwilling to pay the price (both money and calorie wise) for dinner entrees. Lunchtime portions and prices on an airy patio overlooking a sweet little pond though? Epic call. I could eat their Mongolian Beef every single day. MMM!!!
Afterwards we took a little stroll around said pond in the sunshine.
Bumpdate!
I have officially reached the point in my pregnancy (27 weeks) where it’s no longer comfortable to bend down or lean over for more than a few seconds to pick things up or tighten my shoes. Thank goodness for my chivalrous husband. : )
Later that night we joined my parents on their back deck for the first grill out of the season. So begins the weekends of inviting ourselves over every chance we get. We just love their back porch!
Beer brats and fresh salmon which I marinated in Italian dressing for 20 minutes were on the menu, which sizzled and popped to perfection over an open flame.
Paired with fresh fruit and Grandpa’s Pasta Salad, the meal was a complete success!
This morning Ben and I woke up and hit the trail for a long walk and iced coffees. I’ll admit, I was a bit jealous of all the folks running, but a brisk walk with an icy reward at the end was sweet too.
Afterwards we hit the green for 9 holes under beautiful, sunny skies. It was hot but the course had a great breeze running throughout.
While he putted, I held the flag and together we walked nine holes. With the hills and such, it was actually a great little workout!
Our day ended where it had the night before. Back on my parents porch, under sunny skies. Can it always be like this? : )
Tell me one fun thing you did this weekend!

You are too adorable! I am now just getting caught up on blogs I have fallen behind on and wanted to drop by and say Congrats to you and your husband on your baby to be!
ps. I also had a really quick question. What is the brand of your bag and what style is it? It is too cute!
Iowa Girl Eats 05.13.2013
Thank you, Rosie! The bag is a Marc Jacobs – I think it’s the Ukita bag!

Quick question – where do you get your dresses? I’ve been looking for something like them! It’s impossible to find maternity clothes where I live!
Iowa Girl Eats 05.01.2013
Old Navy! They have a terrible selection at my local store, so I ordered a bunch online. Free returns! :)

Très jolie…that’s what we say here in France. It rains too much here to do anything outside.

I just wanted to let you know I *so* identify with your comment about bending over! I’m 30 weeks with twins and commented the other day on Facebook that putting on socks was the worst part of my day. My friend sent me this, and I think every pregnant woman can identify:
