Makes a TON of cookies!

Adapted from Eat At Home Cooks

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups oats (old fashioned or instant, I used old fashioned)
1 bag Heath toffee chips
1/2 bag milk chocolate chips
1/2 bag butterscotch chips
sea salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients in four batches.
  3. In another bowl combine oats, Heath chips, chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Add to dough and combine.
  4. Drop dough on greased or parchment paper lined cookie sheets and bake for 11-12 minutes. Sprinkle warm cookies with sea salt.

This is almost identical to the recipe I made last night. I found mine on another blog I visit regularly, and they were entitled, “Way to a Man’s Heart” cookies. Instead of butterscotch chips, there was 1 package choco chips, 1 package toffee bits and 1 cup coconut. YUM-O! Thank goodness I hit the gym both yesterday and today. Hope you feel better!

ok, I will have to shamelessly admit that I have made these cookies (minus the heath chips) a total of 3 times since I discovered this recipe. And, I’ll need to add to my admission that I’ve only shared with co-workers once. (they all loved them, of course).
wow. That sprinkle of salt on top is the most brilliant thing in the world. I love these cookies!!! Thank you!!!!

Thank you for the wonderful recipe! I have made these twice in the last week. The first batch was devoured by my family (mostly me), and the second batch I divided into four containers to give to people as little thank-yous for the everyday things they do for me. Everyone raved about them!!
