Obol Upped the Anty

27

Sunday is totally kicking Saturday’s butt already!

I was up, showered and out the door by 7:45am. Destination: grocery store, where I legit almost started laughing out loud in the cashiers face at how much I got for $52. My mind was melting. You’ll see. :)

There was only one thing on my mind for breakfast – more Eggs & Toast!

I don’t know why, but I’ve totally been craving eggs lately. They’re just so easy…and tasty…and versatile…and cheap! Well free actually, since I won a free year’s supply! ;)

This morning I mixed one egg + 2 egg whites + salt, pepper, hot sauce & a green onion. Scrambled and dabbed with some more hot sauce. Who am I? I don’t even usually like hot sauce?!

On the side I had a slice of toast smeared with my butter stick then with my new Polaner’s All Fruit Apricot Spread.

It’s a fact that whenever you’re spreading fruit jam/jelly/preserves on toast, you must precede it with a smear of butter. Gives you that whole salty/sweet thang. Crazy good.

Obol Winner

You guys had me saying "Ooo-ooo, me too!" to all your favorite cereals! Here’s my list, in no particular order (well except the first one, that IS my fave!):

Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Peanut Butter Puffins, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Peanut Butter Captain Crunch, Kashi Honey Almond Flax, Trix (round ones, not fruit-shaped ones,) Nature’s Path Pumpkin Flax Granola, Cracklin’ Oat Bran, Peanut Butter Oh’s, Honey Bunches of Oats, Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, Honey Bunches of Oats Just Bunches, Fruity Pebbles, Frosted Cheerios, Honey Nut Chex (OMG), Life Cereal, Frosted Flakes.

Clearly there’s a peanut butter/candy-masquerading-as-cereal trend going on here. Also, clearly I am 5.

At any rate, Obol upped the anty is giving away THREE Obols!!! Contrats to:

Leslie: My favorite cereal is a toss up between Oh’s and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Although I like to mix the Cinnamon Toast Crunch with an equal amount of regular Cheerios to tone down some of the sweetness and I can only find Oh’s at one store in my area so I rarely get to eat it! Happy Holidays all  :)

Jenni: AND I voted for you! As usual!

Tasha: I’ve always loved the Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Honey Nut Cheerios… this bowl is genius!

If you wouldn’t mind taking one minute to cast your final vote today – that. would. be. AWESOME!!! :D

Off to bake some cookies…Giada had me drooling on the couch over these babies yesterday afternoon!

I’ll be back with my grocery haul, weekly menu and a Creole-inspired dinner. See ya’!
