Happy Friday everyone!

This week went crazy fast, and I can’t believe another weekend is already on the horizon. No complaints here! ;)

Ben and I have some fun plans lined up over the next couple of days, starting with date night tonight. It’s been way too long.

In the meantime, check out my favorite finds from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites!

Favorite Valentine’s Day treat: Pink Champagne Cupcakes. Pink Champagne Cake with buttercream icing is by FAR my favorite cake (it was the top tier of Ben’s and my wedding cake!) These individual-sized cupcakes would be perfect for V-day!

I made both the Pink Champagne Cupcakes AND the Sugar Cookie Bars for a bake sale at work. They were both PHENOMENAL, not to mention the cupcakes were the PERFECT PINK. You understand the importance of that. I am now a living legend at my workplace for those cupcakes and bars. The bars were a thick, chewy, soft, almost sugar cookie dough like (because you really don’t want to overbake them at all) with an equal amount of frosting to bar which IMO is essential. Friday Favorites are my favorites, I’ve tried so many recipes from things you’ve posted on FF but these 2 are definitely at the top of the list. Thanks for doing the legwork! I’d pay you in Pink Champagne Cupcakes and Sugar Cookie Bars but umm, they’ve vanished. :)

Ha! But I disagree with Dive Bars and Serial Killers! (I’m from KS) Weeeeell, at least the serial killer part–totally wrong! :) I think it should be called “Flat Land of Oz” or something like that!! :D

  10. Jenni in KS says:

Wow. I didn’t know other people were like that. My emotional scale or whatever is very similar to Kristen Bell’s. I mean, I got a little teary over watching that video. Children’s books make me cry. My college textbooks sometimes make me cry. The local high school production of Seussical made me cry at least twice–both times I watched it. My daughter’s games (and she plays most sports) make me tear up because some kid is always getting hurt. She’s 15! They aren’t little any more. Now I feel like crying because I do not feel so alone and also because I live in the land of dive bars and serial killers. It’s exhausting.
