Happy Friday everyone!
This week went crazy fast, and I can’t believe another weekend is already on the horizon. No complaints here! ;)
Ben and I have some fun plans lined up over the next couple of days, starting with date night tonight. It’s been way too long.
In the meantime, check out my favorite finds from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites!
Favorite Valentine’s Day treat: Pink Champagne Cupcakes. Pink Champagne Cake with buttercream icing is by FAR my favorite cake (it was the top tier of Ben’s and my wedding cake!) These individual-sized cupcakes would be perfect for V-day!
Favorite easy ‘do: Quick Twist. Elegant AND it works for short-medium length hair.
Favorite bite: Mini Mexican Chili Bites. Wish I would have found these before the Super Bowl – they are so stinkin’ cute!
Favorite bikini buster: Chocolate Chip Toffee Bars. As if the 10 (yes, TEN) boxes of Girl Scout Cookies Ben brought home last week weren’t tempting enough…
Favorite bling: Gold Vermeil Nugget earrings. Simple yet unique, and could work with a casual or dressy outfit.
Favorite funny. BAHAHAHA!
Favorite side: Cheesy Italian Bread. Oh my, this recipe is pure genius! The cheese combos are endless, too!
Favorite sweet accent: Heart Earrings. I let out an audible awwww when I saw these sweet studs.
Favorite find: How-To Make Popular Chinese Food Recipes. Droyling. (Drooling/dying.)
Favorite spot: Bora Bora Mansion on the Water. How much fun would it be to round up like 10 of your friends and rent this place out for a week?!
Favorite outfit. Beachy/chic. I totally dig.
Favorite vacation find: Bandau Bikini. I’m into white bikinis right now, and this would be perfect for Negril!
Favorite sip: Bahama Mama. COME to mama! Tropical thoughts are taking over my brain!
Favorite furball. HAHAHAHA, hungry spice.
Favorite accent: Gold Dipped Bar Bracelet. Kind of an upscale, grown up friendship bracelet, you know? Plus those colors are SO spring!
Favorite picture. Talk about the ultimate wedding bouquet. These colors are gorgeous!
Favorite print: United Stereotypes of America. Tee hee – this gave me a little giggle. ;)
Favorite cozy spot. I love the cozy, log cabin vibe of the huge wooden beams in this kitchen.
Favorite easy treat: Sugar Cookie Bars. I couldn’t resist! Now THESE might be the perfect Valentine’s Day dessert!
Have a superfunandhappy weekend, everyone! :D

Ha! But I disagree with Dive Bars and Serial Killers! (I’m from KS) Weeeeell, at least the serial killer part–totally wrong! :) I think it should be called “Flat Land of Oz” or something like that!! :D

Wow. I didn’t know other people were like that. My emotional scale or whatever is very similar to Kristen Bell’s. I mean, I got a little teary over watching that video. Children’s books make me cry. My college textbooks sometimes make me cry. The local high school production of Seussical made me cry at least twice–both times I watched it. My daughter’s games (and she plays most sports) make me tear up because some kid is always getting hurt. She’s 15! They aren’t little any more. Now I feel like crying because I do not feel so alone and also because I live in the land of dive bars and serial killers. It’s exhausting.

I am so glad I found your blog. I am from Iowa too (Go Hawks!) but living on the Texas coast. I have a great recipe for “Korny Korn” on my blog I think you might like, or being from Iowa, you may already know it. Looking forward to reading more. I miss Iowa.

LOVED this post. I was eyeing bikinis last night on VS for our Mexico vaca, but I’m not sure I need another just for a 5 day trip. After all, I have a few that I still like and fit well. But it is a good excuse to buy a fun new suit. I’ve also been browsing sun dresses, but I don’t need those either.
OOH, and I have been OBSESSSING over that flower bouquet ever since I found it last week. So amazing.

Oh IGE, you always post the best Friday favorites! Kristen Bell is SO adorbs. I’ve been obsessing over that video. Her emotional scale/crying description perfectly describes me as well. I’m such a cryer. Today, a friend posted this on my Facebook wall:
Enjoy!
