Hi friends. :)
The family was hit was some sad news last week. Ben’s Grandma peacefully passed away in her home at the age of 86.
Even though I married into the family, Grandma never treated me any differently from the rest of her grandchildren.
She was incredibly sweet, clever, adventurous (she and her friends worked as “Rosie the Riveters” in Cali during WWII!) and there was no question that she adored her family more than anything else in the entire world.
Ben and I will be in her hometown of Modale, IA for the rest of the weekend celebrating her life with the rest of the family.
Call the ones you love TODAY! :)

My condolences to you, Ben and the entire family :( Glad you were all able to be together to celebrate her life! We lost my grandmother in December and it was and is incredibly difficult but being with family certainly eases the blow.

Thoughts and prayers with you my friend. I know everyone says their grandma is the cutest, and I always tell everyone they are wrong because MY grandma is the cutest – but Ben’s grandma looks like she can tie with my grandma. What wonderful memories and photos. My “cutest” grandma is 83 and moves into an assisted living home for dementia tomorrow. It’s so hard to watch our loved ones age and pass on becuase they mean so much and are such amazing people. I always like this quote: “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.” My best to you and Ben.
