The family was hit was some sad news last week. Ben’s Grandma peacefully passed away in her home at the age of 86.
Even though I married into the family, Grandma never treated me any differently from the rest of her grandchildren.
She was incredibly sweet, clever, adventurous (she and her friends worked as “Rosie the Riveters” in Cali during WWII!) and there was no question that she adored her family more than anything else in the entire world.
Ben and I will be in her hometown of Modale, IA for the rest of the weekend celebrating her life with the rest of the family.

I can relate to your news, my grandma just passed away 3 weeks ago, so I had to fly home to Minnesota. You have my sympathy.
Sorry for your loss. I lost my mother in October. She was also 86 and worked in the war also. They were a great generation that cannot be replaced. You are so right , spend precious time with your loved ones. Prayers for you.
