Happy Friday, everyone!
Can you believe it’s March already?! It is absolutely wild to me that this Iowa winter is nearly over before it really even began. I can’t remember another year when it was warm enough to have a bonfire on Thanksgiving, go coatless until December, or run outside in January. Even if we get hit with an epic snow storm at this point, it’ll melt within a few days.
I am not mad at that. ;)
In other news, Ben and I actually have, gasp, plans this weekend starting with a house party (yeah!) and hockey game tonight with friends. Can’t wait!
In the meantime, please enjoy my favorite finds from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites!
Favorite fit: Mad Abs March. Who’s in?!
Favorite bite: Strawberry Lemonade Scones. Just the sight of these makes me excited for spring and summer. :)
Favorite sip: Pineapple Ginger Smoothie. This looks SO refreshing, I can’t wait to try it out.
Favorite bling: Wishbone Necklace. I am obsessed with all things “luck” – horseshoes, wishbones, 4 leaf clovers. This is SO FREAKING ADORABLE!
Favorite furball. A reader sent this picture to me on Facebook. What a sweetie!!
Favorite slurp: Roasted Cauliflower and Aged White Cheddar Soup. Easy, yet impressive.
Favorite accent: Reclaimed Wood Wall. What a unique, stylish and eco-friendly home accent! I love the rustic-chic look.
Favorite cocktail: Kiwi Mojito. Ben and I are obsessing over kiwis right now – they’re in season and you can get like 100 for $1 around here. I. Want. This. Drink.
Favorite transformation: Pizza Monkey Bread. My Mom used to make regular monkey bread on Sundays after church. This savory version sounds awesome!
Favorite home accent: Globe Firepit. How cool, right?
Favorite indulgence: Homemade Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. This recipe looks like one of the best copycat Reese’s Cups I’ve ever seen. Look at that peanut butter texture, mmmm.
Favorite DIY: Vintage Frames. Take a few inexpensive Walmart frames, a little elbow grease, some paint, and voila!
Favorite drool-worthy photo: Ahi Tuna Tartare with Avocado, Crispy Shallots & Soy Sauce. O.M.G!!!!!!
Favorite funny. RIGHT?! I heard Angie’s Oscars leg stunt was done on a dare, which is hopefully true, otherwise that woman is crazier than I thought!
Favorite view: Ariel view of Angel Falls (click on the picture on the website). This is THE sweetest view of the world’s highest waterfall, Angel Falls, in Venezuela. Check this out!
Favorite nook. I would love to have this desk/reading nook at home. That blue color is so soothing.
Favorite outfit. I am in LOVE with this dress – and those earrings!
Favorite indulgence: Mississippi Mud Cake. BLERG. Check out how she cuts this cake too – it’s ingenious!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! :D
