This might be the most surreal thing I have ever said, but today is the day our son is due!

BabyDue

It’s hard to express how I’m feeling right now – nervous, excited, scared, nervous, happy…NERVOUS. I honestly can’t believe this is really happening but, ready or not, parenthood, here we come!

For the past couple of months I’ve predicted that the little man will arrive late and, while the day is not over yet, I still feel he won’t be here for several more days. In the meantime I plan to stay busy to keep myself sane. It is the oddest feeling in the world knowing that our lives are about to change forever, just not knowing when, exactly. Like I said, it’s difficult to express how that feels.

IF anything happens this weekend (that’s a big if) I will check in next week to let you know how everything went, and introduce our son! I want to thank you all for the support you’ve shown over the past 20 weeks. Each thoughtful and encouraging comment along the way has made me even more excited to become a Mama to our sweet little boy. You guys are the best and I know you’ll be equally as supportive in the following weeks as we adjust to life with a newborn. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Talk to you soon…here we go!

Favorite DIY: DIY Headboard. How cute! I love how the blogger switched the look up from the original version from Lowe’s to give it a shabby/chic feel.

Hang in there baby girl! I was in your shoes 19 years ago. I was pregnant with my first (boy), buying a new house, nervous, scared, excited and tired of being pregnant! Everybody giving me advice and acting like I AM the baby! Keeping a smile on my face was hard to do. You are allowed to feel everything you are feeling! Just tell Ben everything you are feeling and he will be your voice when you don’t want to speak. Remember that! He seem’s like an awesome guy/husband/soon to be Dad. He knows you best and it’s going to be very hard for him to see you in a situation where he can’t help. So let him help everywhere he can. It will help you both. Good Luck! Don’t worry! Thousands of babies are born everyday!

You’ll do great! I was so nervous too, but the hospital nurses are great, you have a very supportive family and let everyone help you those first few days home. Good luck!

P.S. I was sick my entire pregnancy and my delivery didn’t go as planned and I had a c-section but the nurses were wonderful and that is 4 months behind me now and it’s all in the past – now I have an adorable baby girl and it’s great to wake up in the morning to see her smile :) So even if things do not go as planned, it’s just a “piece” of the entire puzzle! You’ll feel better soon after delivery!
