This might be the most surreal thing I have ever said, but today is the day our son is due!

BabyDue

It’s hard to express how I’m feeling right now – nervous, excited, scared, nervous, happy…NERVOUS. I honestly can’t believe this is really happening but, ready or not, parenthood, here we come!

For the past couple of months I’ve predicted that the little man will arrive late and, while the day is not over yet, I still feel he won’t be here for several more days. In the meantime I plan to stay busy to keep myself sane. It is the oddest feeling in the world knowing that our lives are about to change forever, just not knowing when, exactly. Like I said, it’s difficult to express how that feels.

IF anything happens this weekend (that’s a big if) I will check in next week to let you know how everything went, and introduce our son! I want to thank you all for the support you’ve shown over the past 20 weeks. Each thoughtful and encouraging comment along the way has made me even more excited to become a Mama to our sweet little boy. You guys are the best and I know you’ll be equally as supportive in the following weeks as we adjust to life with a newborn. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Talk to you soon…here we go!

Favorite DIY: DIY Headboard. How cute! I love how the blogger switched the look up from the original version from Lowe’s to give it a shabby/chic feel.

I have always wanted a Yonanas machine, too!! I eat bananas every day and this would be great to have! Love the cute yellow apron, too. Know what you mean about it feeling odd that you will soon have a little one to care for. It is odd feeling until you have have them in your arms and look into that adorable face. You feel like you have known him and had him around forever. Best wishes to all of you!!!!

What a wonderful Friday Favorites! You must have been inspired by your little son preparing to meet you face to face. Congratulations on making it through the past 9 months of a hormonal roller coaster & life changes and good skill on your delivery. It may be your first but I have no doubt that you’re ready & already skilled. You’re an all round talent! I entered the Dole contest and have all fingers crossed. I’m not a winner of contests, traditionally, but that Yonana machine has me eager to change that losing tradition. Having cancer, fruit & veggies are my life and bananas, a mainstay. Dole’s machine looks fantastic for making so many wonderful & healthy treats. Is it sold in stores in case my luck doesn’t change? :) Thank you for the great blog!

I’m a pretty quiet follower, but I love all of your recipes and always find myself saying, “Yep, that’s something we’d actually want to eat!” I just wanted to wish you the best of luck with labor and delivery! I’m at 26 weeks now with our little girl and I can’t wait to be where you are! Good luck and congratulations!!!
