That’s right, no waiting for dough to double in size and rise because we’re channeling our inner Sandra Lee and taking help from the grocery store to bust these babies out in record time. All you need is a tube of crescent roll dough, butter, sugar, cinnamon — and 8 minutes.

Dare you to eat just one…!

Aren’t they the cutest? I can’t even describe how delicious they smell warm out of the oven!

As the mini cinnamon rolls bake, mix up a quick icing made from maple syrup, powdered sugar, and a little bit of milk. While the cinnamon rolls are still warm, drizzle a teaspoon or two of the icing on top of each one.

DROOL…

These sweet and poppable bites are tiny enough to sit on a spoon but pack a cozy, cinnamon-sugar flavor punch.

I advise making a couple batches – they’ll go fast!

Hi there…..your mini-rolls are famous in MY house and MY house is in Montreal, Quebec, Canada! Gotta love Pinterest and thank you for sharing a wonderful idea!

Planning on making these for a Friends thanksgiving party, was wondering does the icing harden? Would they be okay to serve not right out of the oven? Such a cute idea by the way

    1. Iowa Girl Eats says:

The icing doesn’t harden like an iced sugar cookie, but it definitely doesn’t stay drippy. They are best warm out of the oven, so you should be good to go! :)

These were SO GOOD! Our 11 year old son asked for Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast on Sunday and we didn’t have any-but we did have a tube of crescent rolls. I remembered seeing these on pinterest and pulled up the recipe. He read me instructions while I pulled ingredients – then we made them. First ten(yes, tried to stretch recipe to make more)I made I used white sugar by mistake, but they wound up tasting just as good as second set that I used brown sugar. Second eight(went with your instructions and they did plump up a bit nicer) Dear son said that ours(prior to baking)did not look as nice as yours! HAH! For anyone reading comments-I did use Aldi brand crescents-will try with Pillsbury next time to see if there is any difference. I WILL NEVER BUY THE TUBE CINNAMON ROLLS AGAIN – it was hard not to eat all of them at once!

I got your recipe from pinterest and made these for my 15 yr old son and his 3 friends this morning!! They were such a hit and they went so fast! I thought I’d better make 2 batches but ended up making 3. Each batch I experimented with the sugar. 1st was with brown sugar. Oops, I noticed it was dark brown sugar so half of the first batch I added reg. sugar. 2nd batch was just sugar and the 3rd batch was my cinnamon and sugar mix. The boys didn’t noticed one way or the other. They said all were yummy great!! I did notice that the 3rd batch with my cinnamon sugar mix was not quite cinnamony enough but tasted yummy great anyway!! by the 3rd batch, I ended up cutting 12 out of each roll instead of 8 because they rose more then your pic showed. I’m thinking it is because I used pillsbury cresent rolls instead of a store brand. Hope this comment helps anyone about getting it just right. I thought I had too much cinnamon at first but they all came out yummy anyway. I don’t think you can mess this one up no matter how bad you cook!!! Thank you for sharing this!!

    Hi,
I live in Australia. What are the ‘Crescent Rolls’ like ?? We don’t have it here, so I’m wondering what I can substitute for it ??
    Thanks,
    Anne

They’re kind of like sheets of croissant dough!

  8. LJ says:

Brilliantly simple! Love this and so will the kiddos!

  9. Margaret says:

Mini Cinnamon Rolls are amazingly delicious and SO easy! I have made them three times now and have altered them: adding finely chopped pecans and cooking without mini muffin tin (as I do not have one). They have been perfect every time! Love this recipe!

  10. Shawna C. says:

Do you have to put them in a mini muffin pan? Can you just space them out on a cookie sheet? What’s the reason behind the mini muffin pan? Hold em together? Just curious. Thanks! Fellow Iowa Girl! Go Hawks!

    1. Iowa Girl Eats says:

You could try spacing them out, but they might fall apart. Something else you could try if you don’t have a mini muffin tin is lining them up in a mini baking dish and baking them like regular cinnamon rolls!

      1. Shawna C. says:

Thanks. They totally fell apart baking like regular cinnamon rolls. Still tasted great. I made a double batch and put 24 in the mini pan and 8 in a pie tin. The ones in the pie tin really spread out. So a mini muffin pan is recommended. :-) Thanks for getting back to me. That game was awful today. So sad my 3 boys were there to witness that debacle. On Iowa and Go Hawks!

  13. Kay says:

I made these for breakfast this morning and they were AMAZING! My 12 and 5 year old loved them so much, after eating the entire batch, they requested more for breakfast tomorrow. I prepared the dough on a piece of Saran wrap sprayed with cooking spray than used bottled cinnamon and sugar which made it even quicker. Thank you for a great recipe.
