Chicken Caesar Burgers

Craving the freshness of a salad, but the satisfaction of a burger?

Combine the two to create Chicken Caesar Burgers! These juicy, sizzling burgers are OVER THE TOP delicious, and easy, too!

Chicken Caesar Burgers on a plate

Ground chicken is flavored with classic caesar salad ingredients like parmesan cheese, caesar salad dressing, worcestershire sauce, and fresh lemon juice, then shaped into patties and tossed onto a smoky grill.

Topped with fresh ingredients like romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions, this salad-inspired burger is completely memorable, and a fun switch up from standard beef burgers.

Chicken Caesar Burger cut in half

Start with 1lb ground chicken. I prefer using 95/5 ground chicken vs 99% fat free chicken breast, as the fat adds flavor and juiciness to the burger. Ground chicken breast tends to end up dry.

Add the ground chicken into a large mixing bowl with 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup + 2 Tablespoon panko-style gluten free bread crumbs. I like Schar brand. Pulverized rice Chex also work great!

Next add 3 minced garlic cloves and 2 Tablespoons caesar salad dressing. I LOVE Ken’s Creamy Caesar Dressing!

Finally add 1 Tablespoon each Worcestershire sauce and fresh lemon juice.

Mix everything together until just combined then shape into 4 patties.

Brush the tops with extra virgin olive oil (or spray with nonstick spray) then grill for 4-5 minutes per side over medium heat, brushing the tops with more oil before flipping. Alternatively you can cook these in a skillet or grill pan indoors.

Toast buns on the grill — this is especially important when using GF buns, as they benefit SO much texture-wise to being toasted! — then place a patty on top followed by fresh and crunchy toppings like romaine lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and red onion.

Juicy, smokey, and savory, this is such a fun twist on the flavors of a classic caesar salad. Enjoy!

Looks delicious! For some reason I never see ground chicken at my grocery store, just ground beef and ground turkey. Do you go somewhere special? Do you think the recipe would work as well with turkey? I’ve been craving lots of burgers since getting pregnant so it would be nice to add this to the rotation!

First of all…love your blog and I am also a UNI grad (go panthers!)

I am also pregnant, but not due until December. I am wondering if you have made any freezer meals to have on hand after your little one arrives or if you compile a list of your favorite freezer meals.

How do you prepare the new York strip steak? My husband and I just bought a grill and we are trying to learn the tricks to grilling since we’ve never been grillers before!

You’re Hy-Vee trip is making me seriously miss living across the street from one of their stores! Since moving to Kentucky, I’ve grown to loathe Kroger. Hy-Vee FTW!

What an awesome idea! I think that I need to making a veg version!

  12. Wendy says:

I had to stop eating chobani because the yogurt aisle at my grocery store is crazy bananas, no one can ever commit to a flavor and stands there for hours trying to decide. I miss the delish flavors but not the stress.

  13. FitBritt@MyOwnBalance says:

I had to laugh at your Chobani experience because I kind of did the same thing the other week when I visited their shop in Soho, NYC. They had all the new flavors there and I would have thought it would be more expensive but it was actually cheaper than the grocery store!
