I found my new go-to party/potluck/picnic recipe – Lemon Fruit Dip!

Could this stuff BE any springier? (Said in my best Chanandler Bong voice, of course.)

Speaking of, it’s weird watching reruns of Friends and realizing the characters near the end of the series are the same age I am now. I remember watching that show in high school and thinking they were all so…OLD. Excuse me while I curl up in a corner with a big bowl of whippy lemon fruit dip and eat my feelings.

Lemon Fruit Dip

If you like lemon, if you like cheesecake, if you like fruit dip — if you like any of the three — you’ve got to make this dip.

Fruit on it’s own is nature’s candy, but when dunked into this mousse-like dip, it’s next level. I’m taking a big bowl if it to my parent’s house for Easter this year, as we always have crudite or a fruit salad to nibble on before dinner, but it’d be great for countless other events. Baby and bridal showers, book clubs, office potlucks, Mom’s groups, summer pool parties, making it through a Monday, heck just as a fun surprise for your kids!

So, channel your inner Monica Geller (ie, your inner chef,) and let’s whip this up!

How to Make this Recipe

Like I said, this recipe could not be easier. All you have to do is fold prepared lemon curd with SoDelicious CoCoWhip. That’s it!

My Homemade Lemon Curd recipe makes 2 cups lemon curd, so you can double the dip recipe, halve the lemon curd recipe, or just save the leftover cup of curd for 1,000 other uses (including eating it with a spoon).

Even if you don’t need to eat dairy-free, I’m still recommending you use coconut whipped topping for this recipe. It gives the dip an extra oomph of yummy flavor and I really like the texture too. Very whippy and moussy – almost cheesecake like. The ingredient list in this particular brand is great too.

Scoop the dip into a bowl then serve with the fruit of your choice. This dip can be made two or even three days ahead of time and, speaking from experience, there isn’t a whole lot it doesn’t taste good on.

Fruit of course, but also cookies, a spoon…you get the idea. Enjoy!

Since lemon curd has butter in it, this is not dairy free.

    1. Kristin says:

I use vegan butter (Earth Balance) to make it dairy free.

So is there another “ingredient”? Lemon zest as shown in photos?

Thanks for sharing! I made the curd you recommended (amazing and easy) and the complete fruit dip for our Easter family get-together and it was such a hit! Thanks again!

So glad, Lisa! Isn’t that curd the best?!

  10. Kelly says:

I made this the other night, using store-bought lemon curd. So good! The Coco Whip did not have a computer taste, to someone wondering. Also, I recommend refrigerating for a short time after stirring in the lemon curd so the mousse-like texture returns. It still tastes great even if you just can’t wait!

    1. Kristin says:

Wohoo! So glad you made it, Kelly – thanks for leaving feedback!
