I found my new go-to party/potluck/picnic recipe – 2-Ingredient Lemon Whip Fruit Dip! Could this stuff BE any springier? (Said in my best Chanandler Bong voice, of course.)
Speaking of, it’s weird watching reruns of Friends and realizing the characters near the end of the series are the same age I am now. I remember watching that show in high school and thinking they were all so…OLD. Excuse me while I curl up in a corner with a big bowl of whippy lemon fruit dip and eat my feelings.
Ok I’m back and am so pumped to share this sweet/tart/totally addicting fruit dip recipe with you today. I almost just posted it on Instagram because it’s laughably easy, and I didn’t want to wait a second longer than I had to to share it, but the recipe deserved to be saved for the Mothership.
If you like lemon, if you like cheesecake, if you like fruit dip — if you like any of the three — you’ve got to make this dip. Fruit on it’s own is nature’s candy, but when dunked into this mousse-like dip, it’s next level. I’m taking a big bowl if it to my parent’s house for Easter this year, as we always have crudite or a fruit salad to nibble on before dinner, but it’d be great for countless other events. Baby and bridal showers, book clubs, office potlucks, Mom’s groups, summer pool parties, making it through a Monday, heck just as a fun surprise for your kids! Lincoln went bonkers for this fruit dip!
So, channel your inner Monica Geller (ie, your inner chef,) and let’s whip this up!

Like I said, this recipe could not be easier. All you have to do is fold 1 cup lemon curd with 9oz SoDelicious CoCoWhip. That’s it!
My Homemade Lemon Curd recipe makes 2 cups of lemon curd, so you could halve that recipe — or just save the leftover cup of curd for 1,000 other uses (including eating it with a spoon).
Even if you don’t need to eat dairy-free, I’m still recommending you use coconut whipped topping for this recipe. It gives the dip an extra oomph of yummy flavor and I really like the texture too. Very whippy and moussy – almost cheesecake like. The ingredient list in this particular brand is great too.
Scoop the dip into a bowl then serve with the fruit of your choice. This dip can be made two or even three days ahead of time and, speaking from experience, there isn’t a whole lot it doesn’t taste good on. Fruit of course, but also cookies, a spoon, your finger…you get the idea! Enjoy, enjoy!

So is there another “ingredient”? Lemon zest as shown in photos?
Kristin 05.30.2017
I used lemon zest as a garnish for the photos. Totally optional.

Oh, my goodness. I’ve been wanting to make lemon curd for a long time and I’m now I’m ready to do it. Also, I didn’t know that I could buy a soy-free coconut whipped topping, and I’m looking forward to trying it! Thanks, Kristin!

Wonderful recipe.I like this and I think this is very delicious. I am going to make this recipe for my family and husband Thanks for sharing
Lisa 04.17.2017
Thanks for sharing! I made the curd you recommended (amazing and easy) and the complete fruit dip for our Easter family get-together and it was such a hit! Thanks again!
Kristin 04.24.2017
So glad, Lisa! Isn’t that curd the best?!
Kelly 04.16.2017
I made this the other night, using store-bought lemon curd. So good! The Coco Whip did not have a computer taste, to someone wondering. Also, I recommend refrigerating for a short time after stirring in the lemon curd so the mousse-like texture returns. It still tastes great even if you just can’t wait!
Kristin 04.24.2017
Wohoo! So glad you made it, Kelly – thanks for leaving feedback!
Emily 04.15.2017
love this!! i’ll have to pick up some lemon curd (not enough time to actually make it), but i’m definitely adding this to the Easter menu. looks delicious :D

Isn’t lemon curd made with eggs?
Kristin 04.15.2017
Yep! Eggs, sugar, lemons, and butter. I used vegan butter to keep this recipe dairy-free.
LAC ESQ 05.27.2017
Eggs..dairy free??
Tammy Kohout 06.26.2017
Eggs are dairy free. (milk and milk products are the only dairy….from four legged animals) :) Many people confuse that.
Analida's Ethnic Spoon 04.14.2017
Drooling! I love the sour and sweet taste of lemons. Now I can have it with coconut and fruit. Perfect!

YUM! What a fresh spin on fruit dip. And I’ve never tried So Delicious’s whipped cream alternative, but I love their yogurts, so I know I’d be eating this by the spoonful too ;)
Celia at Chicago Jogger 04.14.2017
Yum!! I need more lemon curd in my life. This looks amazing.
Annette 04.14.2017
I love lemon. This sounds so yummy. Does the CoCoWhip have a coconut flavor at all? I do not like the flavor of coconut and have avoid all things that say coconut on the label. However I am finding that not all of them taste like coconut so would love the healthier alternative they offer. Thanks for all your great recipes.
Kristin 04.24.2017
If you are super sensitive to coconut then you might not like it, though I don’t find the flavor to be strong at all. If I didn’t know it was cocowhip I don’t know I could pick out the flavor!
Karen @ The Food Charlatan 04.14.2017
Oooooh my goodness gracious! Lemon curd plus COCONUT whipped cream???? Be still my heart! I’m super excited that so delicious has a coconut whipped cream in stores so i don’t have to make my own now! That is truly awesome. Thanks so much for the shout out on my lemon curd!! <3

Thanks, Kristen! Another winner & just in time. I was assigned fruit salad for a friend’s Easter Brunch and needed something to add a WOW factor and this is it. And love, love, love the Friends references. It’s amazing to me how that show has improved with age and some of the fashion is still on point. And a great reminder of the importance of community. Happy Easter!
Connie 04.14.2017
This looks perfect for Easter potluck! My kid is gf and dairy free so coming up with something special for him that everyone would love to eat is indeed a GREAT thing! Thank you! And PS it’s Bing, not Bong….tee hee you gave me a good giggle this morning! :)
Kristin 04.14.2017
“Bong” is from one of my favorite trivia episodes when they had to say who his TV Guide (!!) subscription was addressed to! ?
Jenny 04.16.2017
Actually is *Miss* Chanandler Bong ? Love me some Friends!
Carrie this fit chick 04.14.2017
Love how easy this is to make!! Such a great dip for game days!
Shirley 04.14.2017
This sounds yummy! If I use the homemade recipe you linked could I swap out the butter for earth balance to keep dairy free ?
Kristin 04.14.2017
Yep! That’s what I did!
Melissa 04.14.2017
This looks and sounds great and I love that it is dairy-free!
