I haven’t worked out in 8 DAYS! I was on a business trip, and it is very difficult for me to get in workouts when I traveling for work. I will be back in the gym tomorrow, and I am SCARED! So, I really hope you are right that it takes about three weeks to start losing the aerobic ability!
Why can’t I find a man that cooks?!
Bridget 11.23.2010
I love Paula Deen and listening to her is even better! I rarely make any of her stuff but watching and dreaming is half the fun. I cook about 95% of the time. We’re old-fashioned like that! ;)

I’m totally an in-n-outer at the gym. I don’t really like the 24 hour fitness I belong to because it seems like members view it as more of a social hour than a legitimate workout experience. So, to avoid creepers and other potentially awkward situations, I get in, do my workout as quickly as possible, and jet.
1) I think my favorite celebrity chef is probably Giada. I don’t make her recipes as often as others, but her personality is so vibrant and she seems so personable on tv – like I could really be her friend in real life. Plus I like the way her Italian accent comes through when she says words like “gelato” and “moscarpone.”
2) I’m the primary cook and housekeeper in our home, and I love it. My husband works during the day while I stay at home, and I think this balance works well for us. I get everything done on our to-do list while he’s at work, leaving ample time for us to spend together in the evenings. It’s quite lovely, actually, and I’m thankful that my husband prefers it that way as it’s a real blessing to me – especially in preparation for stay-at-home motherhood.

I love Martha. I don’t wath her, but her website is full of so many good ideas!
We both cook at our house on a regular basis and usually together. Throw in a glass of wine and it’s the perfect night :)

Celeb chef = Giada fo sho!
I’m the chef and thank goodness we never switch…I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t want to eat what he cooked! Eek!

Team Ina Garten for me! I have all of her books and everything I’ve made from them (and I’ve made a lot!) has been a huge hit. Her parmesan chicken topped with greens and lemon vinegrette has become my husband’s new favorite dish.

I am definitely a less than an hour type of gym girl. I used to LOVE the gym but the more I go, the more I HATE it. I’m more in to working out at home with a personal trainer aka jillian michaels, jacki warner, denise austin, Exercise TV. I feel like I get a much better work out! I use my gym membership for days when I want to read a magazine on the ellipitcal haha

He’s so cute. Favorite celeb chef is DEFINITELY Paula Deen. I want her to be my grandma and say “butter” and “mayonnaise” to me all day long because her accent just kills me.

Awww, he’s a keeper! My hubby doesn’t change the sheets, but he does tidy up. He also cooks sometimes, but usually just burgers. I can’t imagine him actually following a recipe. That meal looks delicious!
We made Ina’s Herbed Roasted Turkey, the other day. It was delicious! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/herb-roasted-turkey-breast-recipe/index.html I made the turkey breast on Sunday, because we are going to my sister’s house for lunch and I thought turkey soup would be yummy for our supper that night. I made the soup stock right after supper.

I love Ina! I have a friend that used to live in the Hamptons and he said that he saw her at a restaurant one night. I about died just hearing the story! I also love Giada and Nigella. Whenever Nigella is on NPR, she makes me lust for the food she is describing! She’s so passionate about food and doesn’t make any excuses for being that way! I love it!
I do most of the cooking/baking at my house, but the hubs will sometimes help out. I have [minor] control issues in the kitchen, so it’s better if he just stays in the living room. :)

I’m all about Ina- she’s my hero! Her recipes are “no fail,” especially the perfect roast chicken. To die for.

I feel the same way after I miss a few days of workouts – I have a lot more endurance and the workouts feel better when I am back. When you enjoy lots of different workouts, it’s easy to find yourself working out almost every day, but I am not sure that’s the best idea. Breaks rule too!

So which ice cream did you choose? My favorite celebrity chef at the moment is Bobby Flay. After reading in Runner’s World that he’s done 3 NYC marathons, runs on a daily basis, and lives a healthy life style I was hooked. Plus, he’s an amazing chef! Since I’m living at home for the moment, my Mom, brother, and I all cook and share turns. It’s great because everyone has different styles and tastes. It’s a nice balance. :)
Beth @ bethcooks 11.23.2010
I really love Martha and Ina. But lately, I’ve been watching the Cooking Channel and I’m loving Roger Mooking on Everyday Exotic! He’s so great!
I definitely do all the cooking, but when my fiance does attempt it, he’s really good…
JennyV 11.23.2010
Have you checked out Google today!? The Google “Doodle” is by your leading lady — Ina Garten!!
As for me, I like Tyler Florence…
My husband is a phenomenal chef — I’d rather just help w/ clean-up! That said, your blog has made me more confident in my skills… gotta love the step-by-step instructions you provide!
Nicole (the other one) 11.23.2010
Favorite celebrity chef is Michael Symon (woot Cleveland!). If you like brussel sprouts, you HAVE to check out his recipe. Best sprouts ever.
In my house, my husband is the “chef” (makes all the fun fancy meals) and I’m usually the “cook” (steals all the crockpot recipes from IGE).
Juani 11.23.2010
It’s only 11 in the morning, but I’m lusting after those quesadillas! They look absolutely scrumptious.
My favorite celeb chef has got to be Nigella Lawson. Her food is the type I would make all the time, given unlimited time and money. Also, she looks as if she actually enjoys her own food, not just making it,but actually eating it.
I am definitely the main cook in our house. My boyfriend is scared of making anything except meat and chips. So mostly he makes those, and I make the rest.It works for both of us.

Wow, way to go IBE! Now I have a craving for bbq chicken anything! I’m currently making pumpkin cinnamon rolls courtesy of We Are Not Martha. This is going to be epic! http://www.wearenotmartha.com/2010/11/pumpkin-cinnamon-buns/

i love the restaurant style tostitos salsa!! i had no idea it was here and then gone and now back again. i recently discovered it and it’s become my favorite!

i do most of the cooking in our house.
Daisy 11.22.2010
Jody Adams as of late. Did you watch top chef masters on Bravo? Well I took at cooking class at her restaurant this weekend complete with a 3 course lunch and wine pairing. she is super nice, approachable, humble and down to earth. gosh i love meeting celeb chefs!
