Sunrise Smoothie is a fresh and healthy smoothie recipe to get any morning off to a good start!

Grab your shades (and your appetite!) for a vitamin-packed Sunrise Smoothie!

This tropical-tasting smoothie combines the antioxidant power of frozen berries with a blast of vitamin C from a whole orange, a punch of potassium from a frozen banana, and staying power from protein-packed Greek yogurt.
It tastes like a vacation in a glass, and is the perfect way to wake up.
Clocking in at around 350 calories with 3 grams of fat, 11 grams of fiber, and 14 grams of protein (depending on how big your fruit it, and the yogurt brand you choose) this smoothie is as healthy as it is TOTALLY SUCK WORTHY.
Which is a good thing — when you’re talking about a smoothie anyway. ;)

This thick and frosty smoothie could not be easier to make, either. Start with a high powdered blender — I love my Blendtec.

To the blender jar add 1 cup organic frozen berries, and 1 frozen banana.
- Tip: Always slice yours bananas before freezing — whole, frozen bananas are impossible to blend even with a high powered blender.

Next add 1 peeled orange, plus 4 – 6oz Greek yogurt.

Put the lid on top, press “smoothie”, then let the blender do the work!

30 seconds later – voila! Sunrise Smoothie.

Pour into a cup and slurp on the go, or enjoy while you’re getting ready for the day. Tropical-tasting and perfectly sweet with a perfect, smooth and creamy consistency — it’ll power you way past lunchtime!

This sounds really good but I don’t eat bananas, have you tried it without?
Hi there!
Can I use grapefruit instead of an orange as we have a grapefruit tree which has heaps of fruit. I usually blend 2 grapefruits with a stick of celery which I like but thought I would give your smoothie a go for something different.
Thanks.
Hi Martes! Sure, you could give it a try! You might need to add a bit of sweetener since grapefruit is less sweet than oranges.
Yummy ?
I can’t eat bananas. Any suggestions?

Easy to make and great taste!
