Tropical Pineapple, Mango & Orange Smoothie is sweet, smooth, and creamy — plus it contains a super boost of nutrients!

Got a sweet, fruity, and tropical-tasting smoothie to enjoy as delicious breakfast or snack: Tropical Pineapple, Mango & Orange Smoothie — with a super-orange, vitamin-packed twist!
The inspiration behind this recipe came from McDonald’s Pineapple & Mango Smoothie. Judge me. I had a sample of it at the BlogHer conference I went to several years ago and have legit been thinking about it ever since.
On a long road trip recently, I decided to pull off the road a couple hours away from home and ordered a big and frosty smoothie to sip on. Ahhhh. It was just as good as I remembered!
Back at home I set out creating a copycat recipe that ended up tasting just like the Micky Dee’s version – except I added a bright orange veggie to provide a little boost of nutrients and color. Carrots! T
he result is a thick, smooth-as-silk drink that’s great for breakfast, an afternoon treat, or cool evening snack. This was so good – very tropical-island tasting!
Start by combining 1 cup frozen mango chunks, 1/2 cup frozen pineapple, and 1/2 frozen banana in your blender.
You can’t really taste the banana – it just helps amplify the tropical flavor of the smoothie.
Next add 2 chopped raw carrots for a boost of vitamins and vibrant orange color.
Now, I only recommend adding carritos if you have a blender that has a “whole juice” or “juice” setting like a Blendtec, Vitamix, or something comparable. Throwing raw carrots into a standard blender will not turn out well. The smoothie will still taste GREAT, it will just be more yellow in color instead of orange.
Next add a 6oz Pineapple Chobani Greek Yogurt.
Finally add 1/2 – 3/4 cup Orange-Mango Juice. I tend to use about 3/4 cup but use whatever works for your blender. Some need more than others to get going. And if you can’t find this particular juice, just use regular orange juice.
Pop a lid on your blender and let ‘er rip! FYI – I use the “whole juice” setting on my Blendtec.
The result is an impossibly thick and creamy smoothie. Like silk!
Pour the smoothie into glasses, and enjoy!

I can not wait to try this. I think I could shred the carrots first since my blender is good but not a super. Or baby food carrots I use those a lot too.
This smoothies looks adorable! So sunny color and stunning taste! Its smell makes me droll as well:) Thank you so much, it is certainly the best smoothie recipe I have tried recently.
Great Work, Keep it up.
Wow, this looks great! Can’t wait to try this. I just wanted to add – I’m not fortunate enough to have an awesome blender like the Vitamix, etc. but I add carrots to my smoothies all the time. I buy the bags of shredded carrots and just toss in a handful. Works great! :o)
Just made this smoothie… it’s absolutely delicious. Thanks again for another great recipe. You are by far the best blog I read.
I used Whole Foods carrot juice instead of whole carrots since I don’t have a juicing blender. Turned out great! I needed a new smoothie since I was getting burnt out on my usual. I also added old fashioned oats and chia seeds for an added boost. Yum!
I made this smoothie to get me through my morning today and can I just say YUM?! Unfortunately, I have a crappy, yet faithful, blender and couldn’t incorporate beautiful orange carrots and added frozen peaches instead of mango (I am notorious for picking the one HORRIBLE mango in the bunch every time). I included chai seeds for even MORE staying power and I can’t wait to try a different combo tomorrow!! Two thumbs up once again for your creative colorful food, Kristin!
I’ve been on a smoothie kick recently so I’m definitely going to try this out! Plus, I just stocked up on mangos too!
oh mannnn… the only thing I’m missing is the juice.
I have just gotten hooked on McD’s smoothie, but not the how it hits my pocketbook. So, I have gotten the ingredients to make my own at home, but have been unable to get the intense pineapple flavor without using a large amount of the fruit. I didn’t think about using pineapple yogurt (I used vanilla). I also thought about using pineapple juice concentrate and mixing it with the mango, pineapple chunks and juice (I use apple instead of orange because of acidity). I will look into the yogurt before the concentrate.
