Since it’s so close to my birthday, the holiday has always held a special place in my heart. I mean, what better way to celebrate your big day than with sparklers, fireworks, and those mini black snake pucks that your brothers always used to creep you out with, right?

The 4th is also synonymous with being one of the most delicious days of the year. Whether you’re spending your day at the lake, pool, or at home, with friends, family, or neighbors, I’ve rounded up 25 fresh 4th of July recipes to add here or there into your BBQ, grill out, or picnic menus next week. I hope you enjoy (and for Heaven’s sake, don’t forget the Beergaritas!)

    Hi Kristin,

Congrats on your new home it’s gorgeous!

I can’t wait to try out your recipes, decisions, decisions, what to make oh my!!!! I love seeing the AE brand, Hy-Vee, etc. in your photos. The Chicagoland area doesn’t have them. I sure did enjoy them when I was growing up in Iowa or when I come home to visit.

Since I’m new to your blog, just a quick question, do you have any great drink recipes that don’t include alcohol? I unfortunately am on blood thinner medication so I am unable to partake in any “spirits” or should I say an alcohol free diet. :( That doesn’t bother me as much as missing cranberries & romaine lettuce & other dark greens. Iceberg lettuce just doesn’t cut it!! LOL!

Your photography is so awesome it makes my mouth water every time I see your site.

    Until next time,
    Ann :)

  8. So, um, yeah. I’ll take one of everything :) I just hope my 4th looks this awesome!
