Wooow! Thank you very much for your recommendations and dishes. It was very informative and useful. My father does not have gluten in my family and your list has become a real godsend for me. And most importantly everything looks just fine!:))
I think now I will be able to please my family with gluten-free dishes!:))
Have a good day!
My son was diagnosed with celiac about two months ago and your recipes have been a game changer for us. Thank you so much! We basically eat your recipes nightly. Not only are they delish but they are easy for busy moms. You mention the colander, which is something I have read before. We have stainless colanders that we used before his diagnosis. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around one thing in regards to cross contamination. It is said that gluten is so sticky that it can stick in your colander even after being scrubbed and run through high heat in your dishwasher. Okay, that part makes sense to me. The part that doesn’t make sense to me is then how does the gluten slide right off and stick onto our gluten free noodles? I seriously lay awake at night thinking about this one, lol. Please help me understand this one if you have a better understanding. The nutritionist had never heard of it happening and was beyond clueless. Even his pediatric gastro didn’t know and said if he was getting cross contaminated I would know it (not true)….there is so much confusing information and I am trying to do this right. I bought a cheap colander and will use it but I feel like if I knew the answer to this it would help me understand the depth of cross-contamination. Thank you so much!!
I love this post! Thank-you for sharing. I was just looking at the local grocery stores’ options for ordering a thanksgiving dinner and considering the stuffing, gravy, pie my husband wouldn’t be able to enjoy it because of the gluten so I am thinking of trying your best ever wild rice stuffing, making a gluten free gravy and picking up a frozen gluten free pie crust I saw at the grocery store and making a pie. Or have husband make the pie :D.
The wild rice stuffing is amazing! Whether you’re gluten-free or not- it’s delicious! Everyone requested it after I made a huge batch last Thanksgiving :)
I just want to say thank you. I am gluten free and sometimes find it difficult to communicate with family and friends about my food limitations during large gatherings. Thank you for making GF cooking accessible, delicious and something to look forward to!
Everything looks SO GOOD! I avoid gluten because I get bloated but I not completely gluten-free. Your tips are so helpful for being cognizant of others. Thanks!
