Don’t feel deprived this Thanksgiving! Whip up then enjoy any of these 25+ family favorite gluten free Thanksgiving recipes.
My Dad is writing a children’s book! He’s constantly telling anyone who will listen (like his dentist, the person checking him out at the grocery store, and stranger sitting next to him in a waiting room) that his daughter is a gluten free food blogger and they should visit my site. If he had access to my business cards he would undoubtedly pass them out. Well it’s my turn to shift the spotlight!
The book retells an experience my Dad had with my nephew Finn when he was four or five years old. My nephew was born with multiple food allergies and one day he asked my Dad – his Papa – if they could get a doughnut together. If you know my Dad then you understand this is like, his biggest dream in life. Anyway, my Dad had to break it to Finn that he couldn’t eat doughnuts, and why, but there were other treats they could enjoy together. I’m not selling it very well but it’s truly a very touching story and I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s available for purchase. I just think it’s so cool – a children’s author!
The moral of the story for the purposes of today’s blog post? If you have to eat gluten free it may feel like Thanksgiving is a lost cause, but I promise you, with the help of these 25+ gluten free Thanksgiving recipes, you can have one of your best holidays yet. You’ll never miss the gluten!
I’m breaking the day down into Thanksgiving breakfast and brunch recipes, dip and appetizer recipes, salad and side dish recipes, and dessert recipes, of course. My family is heavily into traditions so we always start the morning with Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls and Crock Pot Breakfast Casserole (plus mimosas and the Macy’s parade,) followed by all day grazing on Gluten Free Chex Mix before sitting down to dinner where, honestly, turkey plays a supporting role to our favorite sides including Party Potatoes Deluxe, Green Bean Casserole, Wild Rice Stuffing, and Grandma’s Holiday Salad. Oh my goodness, I cannot wait!
Whether it’s your first gluten free Thanksgiving, or you’re a seasoned pro, I hope you find one or more gluten free recipes to enjoy this year!
